There's a lot of other vendors. My own car happens to have a top sourced from Legendary by the previous owner.
SMS may or may not have them, I don't know. They will be the most expensive and the slowest though. It wouldn't surprise me if they outsourced it anyway...
I think Legendary outsources them too, but they sell a decent product. The eBay stuff can be hit or miss... I agree.
There are other vendors with good reputations. I've never used them, but I'd look at Electron Top,
Replacement Convertible Top Manufacturer, convertible tops, rag tops or Kee,
Kee Auto Top. Robbins is also supposed to be good, but I believe they don't sell direct.
The best thing to do is figure out who you are going to have install the top and ask them what they prefer.
My car. The original top was white, but the PO chose one in a saddle color. That color wasn't available from Chrysler, their choices were black or white. The material isn't quite the same either, but I think it's easier to keep clean and looks better. I've never had a negative comment about it not being "original", in fact just the opposite. Lot's of good comments about the change in color.
