It's a 100% plastic and rubber interior. Every gap is well sealed. I opened all the doors and pressure washed it about three years ago. The interior isn't due for another three...

I pressure washed the interior once.
Never washed at all outside.
Bed has been hosed out a few times. The oil left behind from the rolled over engines in the bed is a great rust preventative.

I actually enjoy a thorough cleaning of the car, sort of relaxation. Waxing of the endless roof of our station wagon is a bit of a chore twice a year.

Could count on my right hand the number of times it was parked outdoors over night.
