And how was your C-body driving season.

I haven't done anything with my 68 vert. Summer was so friggin HOT. I also haven't been in the mood to do anything. Maybe I'll get to do something this fall.

My driving season started out with the usual upgrade of some sort. This year was the exhaust, tti headers and full pipes all the way back! Love the sound, no drone Stan. Then it was drive time. Started out slow, but I managed to drive it to work most every day and took it out for frequent 30 minute jaunts. Took it to the big Mopar show 2 hours away and had no issues that reared their ugly heads. It has sat for the past couple of weeks just because I'm lazy. It will go to work with me tonight as it will 've near 70 when I leave. Then it will get ready for hibernation and be used as a shelf for my girlfriend's outdoor stuff (nothing heavy that could damage it). Next year when I get it out, rear springs and maybe a rear sway bar! I put about 2,000 miles on it. I'm going to write down the mileage before I put it away so I can actually keep track of actual driving next year. If everything works out the way I want it to, I might just have another C body stablemate for my Polara next spring, but we will have to wait and see how things work out.

This season started with great intentions but unfortunately May-July were a big bust and the car pretty much sat untouched in the garage until August. I did manage to attend three shows over the summer and logged some good back-road cruising until this weekend when it was put into storage again for the winter. I continue to have a long wish list of items to improve reliability and driveability. It's still not at a point where I would feel comfortable taking it on a long road trip to MoparFest or similar Mopar get-togethers. I looking forward to meeting some of the other local, and not so local forum members at these events. This was the first full season with a proper temp gauge installed and I noticed the temp creeping up into the 220 range on some of the hotter days which is concerning. This will be one of the first items to address next season. Other fixes include; correcting multiple small fluid leaks, new treads, new shocks, and new rear springs. I did manage to give the finish some love on a rainy Sunday though.

So those members who are lucky enough enjoy an extended driving season; please continue to post lots of pictures and videos to help the rest of us survive our cold winter months through your experiences!

I didn't think Europe was that big

europe is not that small.
Best (biggest) Shows are in sweden (which is from north to south around 1.000 miles).
In the mainland countries like germany, netherlands etc there are a lot of cars shows every weekend in the summer so you always have to choose.

The miles I mentioned were just driven with C-bodies, I drove many more with my B-bodies

I actually paid attention in Miss Moore's Geography class in the fifth grade.
When I see all the misconceptions about geographical size, culture, flora & flora, etc. by intelligent people, I wince.
Today, no person in America under 30 can find the United States on a Globe.

Do they still teach Geography or is it some new Geography like new Math that teaches them **** because they don't wanted to incur the wrath of the professional offended.

I am wondering if she looked like that and that is made him pay attention or the opposite, or if she had a big ruler to wack him with.

A season of ups and downs. Another posting had me moving from Winnipeg to Tacoma. I convoyed with my 74 Imperial 4 Dr and 77 T&C (I shipped the Coupe). The Imperial broke down in Butte Montana on a 106 F July day (turned out to be the distributor pick up) and I am still not happy with how it's running. I think the timing is still not right and my new job means not a lot of time to toy with it and dial it back in.

Mileage on the trip (highway):
1974 Imperial 17 MPG best (before leaving me stranded)
1977 T&C 19 MPG fairly consistently...I did a couple of tanks on the prairies that touched 20 MPG ...all highway and very flat.

On the "up" side, I'm looking forward to driving the C bodies most of the year here on the left coast.

We get to drive the 66 Fury III daily. I love that car. It feels so nimble, and even with the 2.93 gears, the cammed up poly makes it peppy. Getting around 18 mpg at 75mph. I will never buy a newer car again.

I had to rebuild my '86 W250 engine; poor machine work in Hamilton MT several years ago, and now I live 1000 miles away, so no way to get reimbursed... Anyway, it is dialed in, and I pulled a trailer full of parts over 1000 miles with it when I went back to MT to preach at a couple of churches last month.

Finally pulled the motor and tranny out of my 71 Fury III. The tranny is being rebuilt as we speak, and the block goes in for new cam bearings and a crank polishing when I get up this afternoon. I purchased a fuel tank and most of the small parts for the junkyard rebuild on the 360 already. I did brakes, put in a 3.31 gear, and patched the trunk and floor pans. New tires are in my shop, waiting for one of my church members to finish the harvest season so we can mount them. All I need is a used 4 bbl and about $250 in cash to be on the road. I will be driving it before Christmas, if all goes well. We have kind of a rush, because we are moving back to MT next summer to work at another church.

My son's 74 Newport daily driver is painted and running like a top. He needs a new radiator, and we have a 9.25 posi rear that needs to be set up with his 3.23 gears before we move. Other than that and the rims he really wants, we are good to go. Had a beautiful C Body summer!!!

C-Bodys=daily=great solution.
Drive them as much as you can as long as we can (are allowed to).

Great to hear of a Mopar family !
