So far I have driven 21,000 since I bought the NYB. The NYB has 61,000 miles now. I would of driven it to Wisconsin last week (the NYB loves road trips) but the weather forecast called for snow and temps in the 20's last week and I won't chance driving the NYB in salt.
Twenties and the possibility of snow a couple of days. It was 72 degrees at the game at Lambeau on October 11th and in the 20's four days later. Snow flurries a few days and sleet on one day.
My C-Body driving season is all year, my Other Polara is my daily driver. In the last year the miles I drive have gone up and I am now visiting my Parents every couple weeks over the 6-8 that it had been. I have been making this drive for over 30 years and it never gets old, that drive is 120 miles one way with over a third of it along the coast.
Every year I go to a show that is about 4 hours one way with the car doing good the entire way. This last summer I was going to take the car to visit my brother in Oregon 1000 miles one way but a couple things made me thing twice, the car tends to overheat in traffic or on long grades if it is hot how, never enough to park me but enough to not want to worry that far out of town and recently a friend notice it burning oil under load (it has 99900 miles on the original engine).
Although not my car every year I go to a couple shows with my friend in his 69 CHP car and typically take the late night leg home. These shows are 6-8 hours one way and yes we drive these CHP cars there.
Old and looking like a project car this car almost gets as many thumbs ups and nods as the my friends restored CHP car.
It's funny how we do all our work in the summer so we can start driving them full time by mid- October.
And NO, I am not busting balls really. All my life I had to give my cars one last wax job by now.
I am thrilled at all the responses. I hope the bashful ones chime in also. Even if the don't have a car yet.
My car made it about 30 feet out of the garage being pulled with the tractor, and then 30 feet back in, after I cleaned the floor. I just got my engine back from the machine shop, picked up a rebuilt hp 727, and did a few other things like brakes. Powder coated some 15x7's, new rear leaf springs and added Bilstein shocks.
