Bachelor Chow

I've been putting off eating this can of Chef Boyardee for some time now. I kept these as "emergency food" in my unmarried days. If you don't see me on here for a while, you'll know not to eat a 10 y/o can of ravioli.

If you put on enough Parmesan cheese; anything is edible. Elmo Lagasse, 2005

I used to live on these ravioli back when I was single. Still keep a couple of cans around for when the wife is out of town and I am too lazy to cook. I do not think that these things ever go bad. They are kinda like Twinkies, they would probably still be edible after a nuclear war

Former Chef Boyardee plant (Now Conagra) is literally 2 Blocks from where i live. My Mom has worked there for about 25 years now. Yes i have eaten everything the Chef has to offer and it is all just terrible. Only should be consumed in dire situations.

There. Now as soon as this forum removes some functionality and reliability, as soon as the mods shut down threads, and as soon as it prohibits more than two photos in a for-sale ad; it will be Moparts.

Well I figure the can was probably from around 2008-ish, so tell her job well done, as I am not ill. The Raviolis are the best of the Boy-Ar-Dee bunch IMHO. I give them some credit for not being "sweet" like a lot of those canned pastas. And yes, it's blasphemy because I do make my own sauce from scratch.

Could never do Chef Boyardee as an adult... I choked down enough of it as a kid.

For the times I was single, I used the ultimate thing for a bachelor to cook in.. The crock pot.

Is that beer or apple juice? The ravs didnt taste "metal-ish"

Neither...I am all gourmet at lunch.

With the tea and the Chef, you basically had an regular 80's boyhood lunch. Well done!

x1000

You can make anything and make it tasty in a crock pot.

If you're not a bachelor, you can become the hero for one night with a crock pot too :D

I came across a terrific "Microwave Chili" recipe 30 years ago. Everything in one 2 1/2 quart container. Make it to your preference and make sure to add dehydrated hot peppers. For me make it hot enough to warm your throat , make my eyes water and nose run. MMMMmmmmGood

Does Moparts exist??
I go there occasionally to check out the "Mopar Full Size" classifieds. I gave up on them years ago when the general banter became double the amount of content of Mopar content.
Like food stuff..
There were more open threads about bacon than C-bodies.

maybe i should have said burger for the meat , lol . but a hotdog is a zap in the microwave isn't that the only cooking tool a bachlor uses , lol .
