Passenger rear floor is full welded. I didn’t go crazy dressing the welds down for a couple reasons.
A. Most importantly, I’m too damn lazy, and it won’t be seen lol.
B. I may be a lil too paranoid, but being the floor to a hardtop I wanted the repair to be as strong as possible.
This is just supposed to be a driver after all....
I need to stock back up on supplies to continue. Wire, grinding and flap disk, and I’m pretty sure I’m almost out of gas again as well.
I did get the trunk cleaned out today. Don’t really notice how much is missing off the car till you lay your hands on it! Damn! Lot of stuff back there. Did see some sunroof parts. I’ll devote time to go through everything once the metal work is done. This is the one nice thing about the car. For being a northern car, the trunk is nice and solid.

What do you guys think about the body side mounding/trim? Keep it or ditch it?? One side of me says keep it for originality, other side kinda digs the look without it....

Some pacing day marks in the trunk. Didn’t notice before, but they also trimmed the gutter in the trunk opening. Assume either for the gates or machine.
On the fence if I should fix these spots or leave be, to keep with the car....

I say Keep, because that’s a lot of acreage from top to bottom and side to side and the molding help breaks it up a bit. IMO

I do and don’t like the trim... I do think it looks a little goofy with trim around the top of the front wheel opening, and straight across the rear. IDK... still got plenty of time to make a decision. Need to get the floors finished up, and start on the trunk area.
Hell I still don’t know what I’m gonna do about the sunroof. Hoping the car will talk to me while working on it lol.

If you have the trim and it's in good shape...keep the trim. It's one of the hallmarks of a good restoration. Example, look at all the Coronet 500s with the trim missing. When you see one that's right, it stands out.
I'd leave the trimming that was done to fit the horse pacing thing...adds to the story of your car.
