Best ECU for electronic ignition conversion

I got one of those new Mopar Electronic Ignition conversion kits that comes with the orange ECU. I've always heard that this ECU is crap, so I'm trying to find the best one out there to replace it with. All is going into a '68 Imperial, if that matters...

If the orange box is one of the units made in China, the plug is usually different so that no other box will fit properly. You would probably be better off scavenging a used factory unit with cables and distributor from a '73 and up mopar at a wrecking yard. Those were highly reliable. The chi-com distributors are also a POS.

The Orange boxes I've seen were made in the states. Of course that may have changed.
We have a member here who has NOS ECUs for sale.

I have been selling these ECU's for more than 15 years. Many members have purchased these from me. While made in China they are good quality ECU's that are Marine rated and made by the same manufacturer as the solid state/electronic voltage regulators that I sell for 1960's MOPARS.
