Build sheet..!!

Found the build sheet under the rear seat in excellent shape. Brought it in the house because I was going to file it with all my receipts. Put it on the kitchen table and a few days later I went to look for it and asked my wife,.."did you happen to see an old piece of paper with a bunch of numbers on it",..she said,.. yes and I threw it out because I thought it was trash! Kind of bummed about that as the trash men already came to collect the trash. Oh well, that sucks.

Huge bummer! Have a hard time understanding how she could see something that is obviously out of the ordinary and just throw it away without so much as asking you first.

I'm a big enough geek about this kind of thing that I would have shared with my girl what it was when I brought it into the house and there would have been no question about its importance. You have only yourself to thank.

Well, gotta agree it was my fault. I had it in between a book to flatten it out a bit for more than a month. I took it out of the book laid it on the table to take to work as was going to put it in a plastic sleeve, then store it with my other stuff, but I had forgotten I placed it on the table a few days prior, then it popped in my head that I did that, but it was to late. The dumpster where I live wasn't picked up yet, but I don't feel like dumpster diving. Like Detmatt said,.she should have asked me what it was. It's not something you see very much laying out on a table. I didn't show that I was pissed off,.but man I was boiling inside and I still am!

I would look like a total idiot looking through a dumpster where I live. Pretty up scale neighborhood. But I'm still thinking about it.

Well, I went to look for it and no way. I would have to remove all the trash into another dumpster one by one. It is packed to the top and looks to be a 30 yard dumpster. This sucks. Live a learn.

That would never happen in my house. My wife doesn't throw anything away. I thought I threw my build slip away, but I had put it in a safe place in my shop and didn't find it until a couple of months later.

The build sheet is the holy grail to your car..... I'd hit the dumpster..... Just pack a lunch.

Yeah, I wouldn't worry too much about what others think I'm sure that everybody has something that they would dumpster dive for...

I ****** up and I know it. The dumpster gets picked up tomorrow morning and it's dark now here, plus I have nowhere to put the trash that I remove from the dumpster. I really wish there was a way to retrieve the build sheet but it looks like it's gone? My bad.

We just figured out when it was thrown away, it was the day before Halloween. It is gone forever. That really is a bummer. Maybe I'll start to search for another in the car. I doubt very much that there would be another in the car. If there would be, where would I look. The one that I had, was under the back seat.

Yes, it's nice to have your car's build sheet but I wouldn't consider it so horrible to not have it. All it's really good for really is prove you have a One of xxx car, if you have one.

It's better to have the car and title with no build sheet,

Than "NO CAR"with both the title and build sheet !! I know !!! and that really sucks !!!! X2 to boot ...........

My wife has thrown stuff away that I am befuddled by but if it says Dodge/Chrysler on it, she knows better.
