I have a '71 300 which creaks and sounds like it almost binds a bit when closing the door. It also has that loose metallic rattling inside the door when closed. The alignment looks pretty good, it might be sagging just a tiny bit.
When I first pull it closed from full open, it will bind, then release, swing fine until a slight bump in the middle of the travel, then go the rest of the way okay. There is no lubrication on either hinge as far as I can tell. Are there any tips and tricks to getting this back up to proper opperation? Do the hinge pins ever need to be replaced? Those are heavy, long doors.

EVERY movin joint will need lubrication, from time to time. The bushings in the hinges will wear sooner with no lube in them, although they seem to be Oilyte bronze material.

Find a good light spray oil (even some with Teflon) at a local auto or home improvement store and apply it to the hinge points, moving the door back and forth afterward to let it all better penetrate into the bushings. INCLUDING the spring-loaded detent plate's pivot points.

AMSOIL builds a WD-40 style spray lube that does not attract dust. Kind of smells like bug killer, but works well.

Enjoy!
