Can you identify this car under the cover?

If it's a GM A-body, more likely this.

Take also in consideration the long curve of the drip rail, think it's not going down abruptly like on the above examples.

Wow that's a lot closer Stan, I think that blows my guess out of the water, but look at the slight bodyline a couple of inches down from the top edge of the rear quarter running towards the front?

This could be your slight body line.

Yah but the drip rail is recessed on the dart/dusters, this car under the tarp is like a mish mash of all these cars.

They had some Mexican built Shelby Mustang hardtop around 1969 with similar strange quarter panel additions.

I still don't know what the car is, however I am 90% sure I know who owns the car. I talked to the other sister and there is a man who watches over the property who lives down the road. I will stop by and talk to him, but I don't know when. Probably not until next weekend at this point.

Just to add to the mystery, his daily driver is a new Ford F150 in bright yellow. He could be a ford guy.

Mystery solved. I called the guy and he returned my call. It is a 1969 Buick Skylark. It is his son's car, but he has been working on it to. It is mechanically sound but he said it needs body work and paint. It has the original 350 but he has put buckets and a center console out of a GS.

The man himself was a Chrysler guy back in the day owning 3 60's c-bodies from a Newport to a '68 silver 2 door Imperial.

Pictures of a '69 Skylark.

I wanna see that one!!

That is the one he really wished he keep, he was the second owner in 1970. He sold it to someone local but he said the guy repainted it to a baby blue.

Stan has to be right. The shop is locked up so I can't get in, but the rear window it dead on and the trunk (which is not in the picture) is squared off like the Marauder.

get some pics and find out how much they want for it!

It's not for sale. His son has had it since the early 70's and it was his daily driver. When I get my car back from the upholstery shop, I thought I would stop and see the Dad and show him my car and then go over and take a look at the Skylark.

Of all the GM a-bodies, I think the skylarks are the ugliest. I was hoping Commando was right, would have been much interesting car. It was a fun wait none-the-less
