Car names

.. very cool and and it was 68 QQ1 I was thinking of earlier

I'm going to venture my guess that his fender tag will show DD1 (pale blue) if the top is vinyl, as the engine bay is a lighter blue than my '68 Satellite that is WU2; W for a white painted roof, U for "Light blue" and 2 for 2 tone...

Nice Runner; is the cover real or some photo shop tinkering?

Here's my 1st '70 that I drove in high school...

I was selected in a raffle for the cover photo .. LOL.

You can do your own here or there's other rags you an do http://moparmusclemagazine.photoreflect.com/Store/Customer/Photos.aspx

Re: the QQ1 I was talking about the color it looks like now not original color.

Did you notice my 68 RR in the back ground? Nice stable you go got there .. what color is that 69 RR?

I did see your '68, but couldn't make out the tail panel at first. You obviously have excellent taste in vehicles.

I looked at a '68 chip book and think you are right on the repaint. I misunderstood and was thinking the original color.

The '69 Runner is Q5 with black interior and has the early turn signal indicators, air grabber and upper belt mouldings as options. I have yet to see another '68-'70 Runner with the belt mouldings.

My 1968 Plymouth Fury has white painted top. Iam happy its not a vinyl top car after seeing all the rust issues the vinyl roof cars have.

I was told to never name your car, you might have to part it out someday.

This is "The Chrysler":

And this is "The Parts Car", although sometimes I don't know which is which:

I love that parts car!

I thought about restoring both for about 10 seconds, then I re-examined the floors and trunk. It would be cool to have both a hard top and a vert, then I could name them "Black and Blue", not for the cars, but for what I would look like if I told my wife!

That is a sweet coupe really and i would think it worth saving, its all factory and such, oh man, it does make me think about forgetting a 1970 Sport Fury, hmmm. What is it you want out of the car in parts?

support me (us) with more pics.
How are the mechanics?
how about rust?
Do you have a pic of the fender tag?

Those interested in the car can go from there

Hey Carsten, he has a full load of pics and fendertag readout in his rebuild thread on his chrysler 300 convertible, the rust is quite minor by my standards. Plus its got a LOT of options, needs brakes but does run I think, plus it is virtually complete. Interior work too needed.
