Dennis. That's his name.

I'm pretty much dead in the water here,

Moparfest is cancelled, and with it went my motivation.

I've run out of shielding gas and refuse to use Flux core for sheet metal, so I have no way of replenishing my gas thanks to this virus and Ontario's closures of damn near everything.

In addition to that, the virus has taken 3/4's of my paycheck with it, so I can't even really afford to buy any of what I still need, or get things done.

Hang in there. I am sure that there are things to do. What about seats?

One set is sitting in my basement in original flawless condition ready to be installed, the other set is 90% complete by my upholsterer. I have two sets of good door panels, two sets of good arm rests, two rear package trays, rubber floor coverings, brand new headliner, two different mint steering wheels, two sets of seatbelts.....etc the problem is, without coinage or gas, I can't move forward..

Spent all morning on the phone trying to find a bottle of gas...... All the commercial companies are closed here until further notice.... I finally found one place with 2 bottles.... Next closest place that had stock was in North Bay (4 hours from me)

So I bit the bullet and bought the second one..

I don't want to talk about what I paid, but basically. I sacraficed doing other parts of the car in favor of the gas... (ie the new tires, and the exhaust for now)

I'm sorry to read that Nick. You'd think places like Messer and Praxair would be deemed essential services. From a glass half full perspective maybe it is an opportunity to spend some quality time with your better half.

I was lucky enough to rob TSC for the last two bottle of Argon on southern Ontario.

Nick, at the same time, I am taking a break for a few days...

After a hiatus of a bit to prevent burn out... We are back at our regularly scheduled time...

This restoration brought to you in part by the letters "W", "T", and "F"

As in WTF is wrong with me.....

Anyway...

I couldn't leave good enough alone as I strive for perfection , so I started chopping out metal....

The problem with June-August for me is that I become extremely busy doing things outside of the garage...

The second problem I have is the temperature in the garage, whatever the temperature outside is, you can add 5-10 degrees to it inside the garage, and unfortunately it suffers from a serious lack of air flow.

That being said, I am still trying to pick away at things...

After months of being sidetracked with other projects and life...I began digging out Dennis, a task of its own...

Next was a few days of planning and assessing what I had done and what I needed to do..I also measure and referenced everything that I had done so far to check for accuracy...so far so good..
