The last two days at work have been Dead, this virus **** is killing me financially with me being flat rate, I depend on people coming through the door, which they aren't...

So I've needed something to pass the time.... Let's rebuild the wiper motor, shall we?

I tore it apart and cleaned all the old grease, connections, winding and brushes, for lack of a better, it's essentially the same premise as a starter motor...

I then checked the resistance of the ballast resistor that is used to limit amperage for the low speed setting.. I had between 1.1-1.9 Ohms, so all good....

Friday I had off, so I went up and saw my friend Kevin. I asked him about a kickdown as I quickly realized the 318 rod was not going to work, we went up to barn and he pulled out a tote, he referred to as the community kickdown box, as he just lends the whole bin to any friend who needs to get one working and you just take what you need and bring it back.

I dug out what I had kicking around also and between a few pieces I had and a few I borrowed from the bucket, I should be okay now, I threw my left overs in the bucket for the next person in need.

The heater hose bracket didn't seem right to me, so back to my spares cabinets and drawers I went, I found another that seemed more correct, I took it and a squareback alt I had that was on my ragtop when I bought it, to work with me. I know this alternator was a fairly recent rebuilt at that time, and has been in dry storage since.

I took it apart, cleaned winding, brushes and Armature, and freshened it up a bit. I also cleaned up and painted the bracket.

After dinner I put the alternator on (loosely for now) and swapped the heater hose support brackets.

You are doing an amazing job! Keep up the great work!

That's community kick down linkage box is an amazing idea, and what a great thing for your friend to do to help people out!

Kevin is one of the nicest pepe I've ever met in this hobby, he and I became friends in 2012 after I bought a rad from him, since then we've bought and sold back and forth between one another and lately we've traded back and forth as we've both had needs and wants.

Kevin has some absolutely awesome cars too.

69 Dart GTS 340, factory A4 car, all original Toronto car.
70 Duster "Frankenduster"
71 Valiant, 225/3 speed on the column/7. 25 with 3.23 sure-grip, also an all original Toronto car, actually sold new at the same dealer as the Dart
77 Dodge M882
68 galaxie convertible, original paint car.
PT "Dream Cruiser"
47 Dodge half ton
And his new Ram which replaced his 93 W250, this one is one of the last 2500's built with a Cummins and manual transmission.

Geez, you're already working on the Fury at lightning speed.
Tell your bodyman, you'll need to Shelter in Place in your garage the next few days to get caught up.

Wednesday after work I started picking away at my donor pieces, I started with the brackets I need to fix the one side of the trunk..... More on that when I get to it....

Then I stripped the donor firewall top, it's pretty decent for a Canadian car.. 109 spot welds hold it on...
