Executive order 13603

Just a suggestion. Perhaps it would be profitable for you to really examine why you are poorer than you were 5 or 6 years ago rather than just place blame on Obama. Wall Street banks and the mortgage industry along with all the politicians taking their money for their campaigns (along with the Supreme Court that says corporations are people) have rigged the system in favor of the rich, and congress will not put any restraints on these big banks and corporations. And the rich just keep feeding Fox News so you will hate Obama and blame him. He isn't really the big problem, and even though I do not agree with everything he does, the problem is Congress, particularly the House where they obstruct Obama's efforts to restrict the big banks every time, and refuse to do anything that would help the middle class (like pay a fair minimum wage where if a person works hard for a 40 hour week, he shouldn't live in poverty - but the House blocked that too). You can keep complaining and blaming Obama, but we are getting hosed, and so many here on this Board keep supporting those who are really to blame, and finding it easy and convenient to blame Obama. That is just self destructive. This president deserves our support a whole lot more than he is getting. And so the banks continue to use our money (not theirs) to make risky ventures that pose a real threat of another bubble that is going to break again. And the rich continue to pour money into campaigns designed to influence the electorate in their favor with glossy mail with all the platitudes of that they think voters want to hear, all the while their owned politicians care nothing about the middle class. If you really want change, then you have to spend the time to look at the voting records of the politicians running in your District and then vote. But rather than spend the time doing that, it is easier to just blame Obama while we keep going down................... You can't solve a problem that you don't understand.

Your comment here, in some ways, sounds pretty good, but you left out a few facts: Obama and his people are liars ("If like your plan, you can keep your plan"; "A youtube video incited the riot (demonstration) in Benghazi, Lybia and no stand-down order was given"; Al Queda is on the run"; "There is not a smidgen of corruption at the IRS"; the Fort Hood and Oklahoma be-headings are work place violence - not terrorism", and although the House of Reps passed more than 300 bills that are laying in a pile on Harry Reid's desk, "the Republicans on the hill won't work with me."

The above lies are only a few of the canards that I can think of right now, but my bottom line point is that Obama and his entourage appear to be totally lacking in character. In my mind, Character is the most important personal asset that a political leader (or any leader, for that matter) must have - regardless of political party or philosophy. A leader MUST desire and be committed to "do the right thing."

One more thing: When it comes to divisive politics, it appears to me that Obama and the left are those who are mostly engaged in class warfare (the minimum wage, the war on women, etc.). Also, he and his henchman Holder never pass up a chance to play the race card.

It comes down to this: The liberal / progressive machine has been very successful at marginalizing the conservative viewpoint and the politics associated with it. This has never been more true than in my home state of Maryland. The Republican Party in Maryland is totally irrelevant. And by the looks of recent national polls, 42% of the people in our country would vote for Obama again (despite the administration's woeful incompetence and ineffective domestic and foreign policies). Due to many years of progressives pressing their agenda through our schools, colleges and political life, the entire country has moved dangerously close toward a one-party political system. Pretty soon, the whole effing country is going to look just like Maryland. . .

I remember VERY clearly the 1970s, and especially the last half. In 1980, the last year of the horrible Carter Administration, inflation was over 20% in real terms, when they included fuel, housing, and much more that is NOT included in 2014 figures. In real terms, inflation in the US right now is approximately 15%, NOT the BS 3% thrown around. Unemployment then was over 10%. Now, it's nearly 20%...nowhere near the 7% nonsense touted by the government and the media. Today's numbers include ONLY the people drawing unemployment! It does not include people that have been out of work for more than 99 weeks, those that have simply given up looking, and the disabled. Oh, and let's overlook the illegals, while we are counting.

Did you want to borrow money for a house in 1980? You had a good deal, if you could get a 14% mortgage rate! Most were more like 16 - 17% at that time. Nowadays, the loan rates are held artificially low to leave the appearance of a robust economy to the woefully uneducated masses; when all they're doing is printing off billions of useless paper notes with zero backing of any sort. Wonder why many countries are leaving the dollar for other currencies??? THIS is because of the policies of the Obummer Administration, the Federal Reserve, and the Senate. Their policies of socialist cronyism are killing this nation, period, dot!

Now, all the government can do to keep running is to confiscate as much money and property of American citizens as they can. Think your 401K or other retirement funds are safe??? Yeah, right. There is $2T worth of cash that the Feds can't touch, but they want it so bad, they are willing to literally do anything to get it.

Add to this, the wholesale usurpation of our nation's immigration laws by the Left, allowing nearly 30 million illegals into this country (11 million is pure BS)??? Plus, now we have ebola, which of course, the POTUS said "we have NOTHING to worry about!"...This will go down as the most corrupt, most inept, and the least transparent Administration in the history of the nation!

Oh, you guys that bash Fox...how do you explain that nearly NO ONE watches MSNBC or CNN these days??? Fox continues setting record high viewership numbers. Hmmm??? Just curious.

And you get a gold star for parroting the Fox News line of "reporting" and regurgitating it splendidly.

Nicely done, but its not worth arguing with koolaide drinkers. Once they get started typing full page diatribe about blaming everything under the sun EXCEPT the culprit..it's time to walk away to preserve your own sanity.

Thats it ?!? All you can come up with is that I'm a regurgitator ?

I could, but why bother. 70Newport calls me names and criticizes me for writing my lengthy view of things. He wants everything in life to be simple apparently, but I find that it rarely is. And if you start your rationale with the Fox distorted news and accept it, then there is nothing I can say to change your mind, because the input is manipulated and flawed in my opinion. But I do appreciate hearing your viewpoint. Really. Even though it causes me to lose hope in our country. Name calling and hating does none of us any good, and honest dialog apparently isn't tolerated. It is put down before it even starts. I keep telling myself to not get into anything political on this site, since it leads to nothing meaningful. I need to remind myself of that next time and not fall prey to it again.

Luckily, your boy can't run again. That's simple enough.

Gary, do you think you have enough respect towards user "saforwardlook"? As private person as well as your job being a moderator?

Unlike in your post, I have not engaged in any name calling. I made several points which you ignored and called me a name (regurgitator). If you want to have an honest dialog, why don't you do it ? With the points I made, where am I wrong ? Are my "facts" incorrect (regardless of their source: Fox, NBC, PBS, etc.) ? Is Obama NOT a liar ? Will 42% of the people NOT vote for him anyway ? Is the progressive agenda NOT making headway ? And tell me: What is wrong with Fox News ? They may be slanted to the right, but is that any less legitimate than the left leaning news from NBC and PBS and the myriad other news outlets who keep giving the administration a pass - time and time again ?

I don't want to talk politics anymore either. . . So, how is yer C-Body coming along?

Yeah, then with a little luck, maybe the Republican party will nominate either Donald Trump or Sarah Palin, and with their easy solutions (just get rid of Obama and the premier issues of our time will go away - the Birther question and Benghazi), their clear intellect (they are both rich after all) and their good judgment (they are both rich after all) and deep humility (just ask either of them) you will have your ideal candidates. Or maybe they will nominate Romney again and then he can be the clear representative for the middle class and the poor. I am sure the Koch Brothers can assure their favorite among those front runners would win by throwing their boundless money in the campaigns they favor. Then all will be right with the world.

I didn't call you a name, which would be a noun; the word you referred to is a verb. I said that it seemed to me that your were simply reflecting the issues and views from a news agency that to me seems to distort the news more than the others and generates contempt for the President. I thought one of the foundations of our society is that after an election, everyone should get behind the winner and try to work out our differences rather than throw rocks at him and make sure that precious little of his agenda ever gets implemented as intended. No, I don't think he is a liar. Rather I believe he does the best he can and sometimes implementation of a policy can have problems that are hard to predict, given the complexity of the issues. Being president in this society is a thankless job, that is for sure, and I won't call the President names like you do, because in so doing it presumes you know his intentions and are sure you are right based on questionable input.

So with that said, my C bodies are doing fine, thank you. Lets move on.
