FCA Canada became the number 1 OEM in Canada for 2015. We beat Ford and GM for the first time in our 90 year history! Now send us more Hellcats! We are A Mopar Nation!

Mopars to be tops in Canada?

capital in Edmonton just screwed me over pretty good...hada get tower to fix their screw-ups...not a happy camper to the point will stop going to dealers and spend my coin elsewhere

Congrats!!!!

I hope you get more Hellcats. How does Ma Mopar allocate them or do you only get one if someone buys one?

Ma Mopar promised us more this year but they will only build sold orders and only if you play ball and take the other crap they ram down our throats that doesn't sell aka Darts

The only FCA dealer in the County has every Ram and Jeep with a mandatory "Appearance & Protection Package" @ $600 tacked on.
A little ScotchGuard, some pinstriping..

ya, and here they 'delete' the spray in bedliner and 'add' the plastic bed-insert crap . .. for another 6 hundy. . .

The only way to beat these **** stealership monopolies in this damn town is to buy the Tampa Sunday paper, stick the bait n switch loss leader ad in the local yokels faces and say, "Match this or F-U and I'm driving 2 hrs. to Tampa.

Stan I feel your pain! We are a small town dealer 15 minutes away from the big city guys. We offer our locals a $500 off coupon on the ads we run in the city papers because we want them to stay local and get a better deal than the city slickers. We buy our groceries from them they deserve it!

little ticked...l try to not generalize....bought my 07 CC 3500/ram new of the floor room floor....have babyed the crap outa it and spared no expence were maitinence is concerned...when l look to a dealer expect to pay top dollar but in return excpect proffesionals to deal with any issues... l shouldn't have to take it to another dealer to fix and complete their work
they even went and redid a frontend recall for something lve already delt with..some pretty bad checks and measures.
Realy didn't wana have repairs done in Edmonton but alas that's where l was and it wasn't gona wait.....
jumps off soapbox and pass's it back to Stan....rant over

Every Franchise in the County, except for FCA, is owned by ONE guy. Yes. One!
AND... they all have a $899.00 Documentation Fee.

So it comes down to this, if you buy a new vehicle in my County, you're nailed with either a phony doc fee or a ripoff dealer add-on package.
And 90% of the people who buy here are either so poor they buy a Nissan Versa with an 84 month note, or so old and bordering on dimentia, that the F&I guy rapes them without the lube.

Yup the large corporate ownership of the family run Dealership is rampant all over! The Autonations of the world are offering ridiculous money for the remaining mom & pop shops which will soon be a thing of the past. The kicker is the Manufacturer supports this. Group ownership makes it easier for Ma Mopar to dictate process across a broad number of stores at a time versus dealing with individuals one on one. The group stores that follow the company line are rewarded with better access to inventory and marketing dollars the little guys never see.

When I bought my 2014 Ram3500 they took me into the interrogation room to buy about $2k worth of that crap. Shine package, 3M, undercoating, blah blah. I relented to getting 3M on the front bumper and mirrors and had them throw in a bug deflector. The fun began when I asked them to de-badge the big RAM3500 off the doors but I wanted the Cummins big C left on the fenders ahead of the doors. A simple heat gun and some fishing line right? They gave it to a flunkie in the back shop who used a screwdriver to remove the ram badges, scratched the hell out of the doors and then tried to buff it up, then also removed the big C that I wanted left on. I flipped out on the manager. Brand new truck with scratched up doors and they wanted me to take delivery like that. Long story short I went to my local body man got a quote for $1200 to fix and repaint the doors, took the quote to the dealer and said IF my body shop does the work and it's acceptable I will take delivery.

Long story short it turned out fine and I have never been back to that dealer, even for an oil change.

Nice looking truck.
Clean. Simple. No Attention ***** color or bling. No testosterone screaming.
I like it.

Same BS here when I bought my truck. I tried to buy my new truck locally (Harford County) and Carmax (new car dealer) was selling the exact same truck with the exact same options, color, interior, etc. for $12k less. I showed a copy of this to my local dealer and asked him if he could match the price. Of course he said no...and of course I bought my new truck from Carmax. I told Carmax that I wanted all of the dealer badging removed before I would take delivery and he gave a huge BS story on how my free advertising for Carmax was going to benefit me. They took all the dealer badging and plastic license frames off my truck.

Out of curiosity what do you guys think a Dealer makes on average selling a vehicle? Let's use a new Ram 1500 crew 4x4 Sport for example. After the factory incentives come off how much profit do you think is left? All Dealers pay the same price for the vehicle from the factory regardless of size or location so go ahead and give me your best guess as to profit margin on this truck. I'd like to see what the public perception is. No cheating by using Edmonds or KBB just post a number based on your experience and belief.

Thanks. I like Plain. Funny though last summer at a campground in BC two guys came up to me and asked why the RAM was missing. How were they supposed to know what it is? Was I embarrassed to drive a Dodge? It's so blah. Well I said it certainly got your attention didn't it?
