FrankenStorm

I'm okay. Lost power Monday night around 8 p.m. had to bail the sump pump overnight. My house and the New Yorker is good to go. Sitting in my truck charging cell phone up.

Ya think. It's always the same thing. The way they were forecasting you would've thought it was the apocolypse spinning up the coast. My lights didn't so much as flicker. I know other people maynot have been as lucky but I'm quite surprise at what is as opposed to what they said would be. BIG difference.

I dunno. I'm seeing a LOT of unbelievable devastation on the net and TV. As a hardened New Englander, I'm even shocked a bit.

My power is back on. Good job BG&E!!!!!!

Thank You to everyone on FCBO for your concern!!!

That's great news, Bob.
But you're a seasoned military man.
I knew you could handle it.

Thanks. No problem.......still helping out my friends. I'm hosting Operation Sh*t, Shower & Shave for my friends and their families tomorrow morning that don't have power restored yet. I have my American flag back out in front of my house, hot showers, and hot breakfast, coffee and doughnuts on the ready. Better than the Mess Hall.

Bob, you are a good man and I am looking forward to meeting you and the others (including Stan) in Carlisle this upcoming year. Glad you all weathered the storm.

Good job men!!!

I hearing up to 4" of rain and 50 mph winds this go around on the local weather.

Thanks for the thought Fred. Locally we fared well. Aside from a few dropped trees here and there things appeared to be quiet within a 25 mile radius. The entire jersey shore line and jersey centrl and north got hammered. It sounds like you got more than I did

Some of you may know about or even visited the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia, which is a stone's throw from the Lincoln Memorial in DC.
The Old Guard (Army) has guarded the tomb 24x7x365 since 1921. There has been incredible severe weather events (hurricanes & blizzards) since 1921 and the Soldiers never abandoned their post even when the order was given to take shelter. Their actions and dedication sures makes me proud.

I highly recommend visiting the Tomb of the Unknowns and the rest of Arlington National Cemetery if you're in the DC area.
