Thanks, man. I knew it wouldn't be too bad. I just know I'm useless when it comes to fixing radiators so it was kinda out of my hands!Glad to hear it wasn't anything more serious.
Thanks, buddy. I'm hoping her purr lives up to her fur!My hat is off to you sir, the work you've done looks spectacular!
Should I wait and get a tool and prime the hell out of it?
Nicely. I remember getting a long hexagonal tool back when I built my 440, pulling the dist and drive gear and winding the hell out of the oil pump for a good 3 minutes before firing off... I'll do that again. I mean, still jot sure if the idiot light works ... it should as it's on and it wasn't before but I'll get that tool and wind it up till the light goes out. Shoulda thought of that!YES.
At least prime the top end

Well, considering the lifter clack and the fact that the idiot light didn't come on at all when the wire was stuck under the valve cover, I'm betting it works jus fine. I just want to make sure it has oil going everywhere and that the pump isn't defective... either way, I'll prime her up!Could always test continuity(?) on said idiot light to see if it really works, but at least a splash of oil on the top end before cranking again couldn't hurt. IMHO.
