GJS's 1967 Dodge Monaco 500: Beverly

Alright! Back together and sealed it seems. Cranked her over a few times to get the juices flowing. Gas gauge works even though there's only about enough in there to make her pop... remedy that tomorrow and get a temp air cleaner. Should be going round the block tomorrow night!
Even if she ain't tho... what a beautiful thing to see those interior lights on again.

My hat is off to you sir, the work you've done looks spectacular!

I'm not a judgmental fellow but.... spraying trunk liner over duct tape? C'mon fellers.
Ok. Gonna have some dinner and start this ole gal.

Ok, she popped right off. Timing is def off, but I'm afraid to run her too much to find out. Reason being is that according to my idiot light, there's no oil pressure. This is confirmed by a lifter clack from hell. I'll post a video of her running as soon as I can charge my phone but, after less than a minute of running time, it's still clacking. Should I wait and get a tool and prime the hell out of it?

YES.

At least prime the top end
Nicely. I remember getting a long hexagonal tool back when I built my 440, pulling the dist and drive gear and winding the hell out of the oil pump for a good 3 minutes before firing off... I'll do that again. I mean, still jot sure if the idiot light works ... it should as it's on and it wasn't before but I'll get that tool and wind it up till the light goes out. Shoulda thought of that!

Could always test continuity(?) on said idiot light to see if it really works, but at least a splash of oil on the top end before cranking again couldn't hurt. IMHO.

Well, considering the lifter clack and the fact that the idiot light didn't come on at all when the wire was stuck under the valve cover, I'm betting it works jus fine. I just want to make sure it has oil going everywhere and that the pump isn't defective... either way, I'll prime her up!

Ha!! F****N A! She sounds real good. Just a little bit of clacky-clack, but you are the ultimate Judge...

Funny thing...I heard this song 20 min ago and thought of you. lol
