Guilty Pleasures

These! Sucker for scale models and promos.

This is 2 fold good beer and travel. I am a beverage snob in general: coffee, scotch, beer, and wine.

thought I'd outgrow it LONG ago. never did. 50 years (starting when I got tall enough without a lift from Dad) and still at it.

I like them too. In fact we've got a Bally's El Toro pinball machine from the 60's and a Williams Shuffle Alley bowling machine from 76' in our game room. Its amazing to open them up and see how they work.

With the metal board and glass marbles (stored inside the board) .. gotta have that 'tick, tick, tick" when I jump (we still have ours from early 1960's -- thats not it below tho -- and still play it to jeers from younger family members). :)

All kinda stuff I should not find funny, but I do .. Nobody is safe from their lampooning and satire.

i put on the movies/media that

(1) I like but nobody else does (e.g. the "Phantom Menace") it seems, and
(2) everybody thinks are bad, and I think that too (e.g., "SHowgirls"), but are SO BAD I just can't look away.

My friends and family get on my case mercilessly (in fun of course) in both instances -- hence my "guilty pleasure" :)

Classic cinema, along with Turner Classic Movies, is making a comeback thanks in part to services like Filmstruck, which features films from the Criterion Collection and harder to find entries from Stanley Kubrick, and the Soviet Union.

The first films to hit theaters are Singin’ in the Rain on Jan. 15 and 18, and An Affair to Remember on Feb. 12 and 15. Many of the screening are milestone anniversary events too (it’ll be Singin’ in the Rain’s 65th anniversary). You can see the full schedule at the Fathom Events website.

I hope to go see several of these this year
