So I'm going to be swapping a 360la into my 66 furyIII and as far as I can find Schumacher is the only place that has headers that are supposed to fit cbodys but they are kind of pricey. I was thinking of getting block hugger short headers I'm sure they'd fit and they are quite a bit cheaper. I was wondering if any of you guys had gone that route Im sure you get what you pay for just wanted to see if any of you guys had any input.

The block-huggers might hug the block and bolt-up to the cyl head, BUT will they clear the steering box and linkage? THAT is probably the reason the Schumachers are expensive?

Look in the website catalog for the block huggers and look at THEIR application list, for good measure. Checking price, too.

Just some thoughts,

I know it's hard to say if they will clear or not my grandpa seems to think they will clear the power steering but yea idk wanted to see if anyone else tried it first before I choose what to buy.

When searching, don’t include 360 in your search since that engine wasn’t out until the early 70’s. Use LA engine or even try 273 as I think Plymouth offered them in a fury in 66?? A 318 in 66 would have been the A engine (polysphere) as you know so that won’t bring the results you want. Just a suggestion. Lots of people I’ve seen that say b or a body headers fit too, but I think it would depend on brand. You might see if you can find some used cheapie headers to test fit. Just some thoughts.
Travis..

The Heddman big block shorties for a B&Ebody fit like they were made for a C, but I don't know about the small block version, if there is one.

Search for 67 and up Fury or Polara applications for an LA Cbody header.

Some Bbody big block headers could be convinced to fit with some tweaking, perhaps a small block B body header might work as well.

The guaranteed will fit solution is Tti, but $$. That no muss no fuss bolt on instalation is worth the price if you don't have the facilities to make a b body header work.

Dakota headers fit.. you might cut the dropped area on the #1 cylinder and flip it over to clear steering box…

Yeah between the Power steering valve and the #1 pipe... i have about 2 credit cards worth of a gap. Sometimes I can hear it hit slightly but so far no real issue.

I also tried wrapping them and it looked like crap so I removed it. Wrapped my downpipes and then instantly scraped through haha. I do have a hard time getting the flange to stay sealed I have to say.
