Hello from germany / 440 New Yorker

The big blue whale runs and runs. Has now stood a bit because the break pedal drops when you hold it down. But brakes great. This is probably NOT what it was supposed to look like... what a soup!!! First rinsed with 1.3L and refilled.

Well, just changed the brake fluid , drove... still happens. The expert (Olli S. friend of mine, great guy) says broken brake master cylinder...so I ordered one (new with container and everything included, €89/94$ including freight and taxes).

Only one month left to drive it this year. Then there comes a new heater core, dual exhaust, oil, sealings, repair one window,....

With new brake fluid (by pumping) the main break cylinder actually said goodbye...he still made it to the meeting and back. Tonight we'll have a new one and rinse everything again  .

But boy... at the (smal local) meeting there was only an Impala, a Chevy pickup and an Bel Air(?) from the 50s-60s... the blue whale attracted a lot of looks. Without all those muscle cars stealing the show

Exactly this is, why i bought a 4dr HT. Perfect with kids. My 2 door Coupe is too loud and runs on leaded gas...not yet the best one to take the children on a ride ;).

Fighting my power steering pump (Federal). Rebuild it with a 5,8 $ Kit...today in the evening i'll test if it works. Leaked quiet a bit before. But I have the impression that the shaft wheel is "floating". Maybe i need a new one...

SOMEBODY KNOW were to buy the just the wheel?

With the band clamps your work looks cleaner and it can be disassembled for future work, the u bolts crush the pipe to hold.
Walker 33226
Thank you for the advise. My exhaust is in Germany an I'll soon getting to the company that ordered it for me for pickup.

I'll bought some band clamps over here in 64mm - 67mm/ 2,51969-2,6378 ". When the pipe already has 2,5" I can't buy 63mm/2,4803" clamps.

Did some more work...steering linkage (?) down, Y Pipe exhaust out, so that I could get the oil pan out to put a new seal in it. Was way more work to clean it than I thought -.- . So I ran out of time and didn't finish putting it back. But! At least there is some Chrysler blue left :)

Sorry for the bad pics...I have a cheap phone.

Ditch the mufflers the TTI come with. They are too loud for a NYer. Replace with Walker 18230 (OEM) or 21856 (’60’s Cadillac muffler). You won’t be sorry.

With 2.5" exhaust the tti mufflers are fine. I think they are quiet on my Polara.

@sixpkrt's New Yorker sounds great with a throaty exhaust.
