Boab or no boab...I will be there.
Should the Boab not be ready,I will arrive in the 66 300 4 dr seedan that I have been responsible bringing back to life for the past 3 years.
Luck would have it the owner,Rene, who will be going as well,has a sister a couple hours from the show.Kill a few birds with one stone,have a visit,free accommodations and she gets to see the car of her childhood for the first time in many years.

IMHO, Carlisle should try to get some of the Chrysler guys who were part of the C-Body development to tell the development and sales story. Burt Bowkamp comes to mind, there are others.
Too bad the ghost of Elwood Engel "Father of the C-Body" couldn't make an appearance. It would be cool to hear his outlook for sure.

Unfortunately I have committed to the tear down of my Fury so I'll be at Carlisle but my Fury wont. I had to make the call and I wanted to tear it down to see if there are any additional parts that I need that I'm currently not aware of.
As far as how to honor them:
There should definitely be a building dedicated to C's.
I think there should be an exception for Imperials but only for the C-Body years. Just my opinion, it would probably cause confusion but I think the Imps are such a close cousin to the C's that it would be wrong to exclude them.
Hopefully some very nice examples will be there this year but it would be impossible to line them up in any order with the structure of parking at Carlisle. I think a VERY important recommendation would be to request the restored 72 Fury I, PA State Police cruiser be there as police cars are such an important part of C-Body history. If they can get a commitment, that car could be the center piece and anchor the group.

If I drive the Polara to this, is there preferred parking for classic cars even if I want to simply wander about or do I need to register and display in order to get parking so that it will be better protected from Joe average that doesn't care about my car?
