I think most of us take for granted that the people close to us will always be there when age is not a factor.

I lost a sister when she had just turned 39. She was 9 years older than myself and was really good to me when I was a kid.

They are expecting a foot of snow tonight on Long Island,not so sure about upstate NY but I'm sure it's even colder there.Gotta be in the teens or twenties.I don't envy you going up there this time of year,but I know it's for family.
