Hey guys. Mopars in the park was a few weeks ago and I ran into a guy who sold me a 66 fury parts car like 10 years ago. Anyways he told me he had a few cars he was thinking of selling. One if them being a 70 imperial lebaron! Of course I was interested! I went and looked at it today and I knew right away it was coming home with me!! It's In overall pretty good shape. 99% complete. Been in his garage since the 80s. Front bumper and fender are tweaked a bit from a fender bender. Nothing I can't deal with. A few rust spots here and there as well, but it's MN so I'm not surprised.paint is also. But the price was absolutely right for me! I'll be posting a lot more on this car when I pick it up on the 25th. And I'm also gonna be posting up my red 65 sport fury project for sale as well to help fund this!

Nice car! I’m excited for you.

It’s hard to find one in TX9, congratulations.

Beautiful cars, recently being reckognized by the non MoPar car community as well!

Post updates as you can!

Looks real nice. Congrats to you.

That's very nice. Did the seller mention it was a coupe before you went to look at it?

That reminds me, I talked to a older gentleman at the show too. I sat down by him to eat something and we got talking and he said he had a imperial as well as a new Yorker. Said he live somewhere by Wilmar area. Central Minnesota anyway. I should have asked if he wanted to sell it but I kinda forgot in our long conversation, but maybe that's the imp he was talking about?

what a great score, sometimes one just needs to be in the right place at the right time, awesome !!

This guy does have a 62 300 convert project with newyorker parts car for sale as well. But he's about an hour or so north of St cloud.

Thanks for all the kind words guys! I've been looking for a car like this for a while now! So exited to get it home! Thanks for decoding the tag for me @Marv the guy I'm buying it from is the second owner. He claims it has all but like three options. I'd love to see an option list for what these cars couldve been ordered with. I'll have to do some research! From some prior research this is apparently 1 of 1803 made this year! Crazy! I'm glad I get the chance to save it!!

you´re welcome.

you might want to use www.fuselage.de
A fantastic website with lots of infos. If you select <<Imperial >> at the very top line, then chose your year 1970
you´ll find the brochure and more. At the very bottom of that site then you´ll find a 1970 Chrysler & Imperial pricelist, that will tell you something about options that your car has or could have had.

This code does mean the standard seats consisting of cloth/leather seating surfaces and the bolsters and back side of the seat backs of the front split bench seat are vinyl.

Thank you very much !! Where do I find this info ? Usually if the decoder comes up with an <<unknown>> I use this site Fender Tag Decoder , but MBX9 wasn´t listed there .. X9 is obviously the color but
I couldn´t find anything about MB
