I pulled the trigger on 2019 Scat Pack Charger

A few years ago while visiting up north, my dealer buddy let me sit behind the wheel of both a hellcat charger, and scat pack challenger after dealer hours. Granted this was only in the showroom. Couldn’t go anywhere as it was all snow outside and what not.

Anyway just firing them up, and idling in em. The scat pack got the testosterone flowing much more then the hellcat for me personally. The hellcat just felt more refined, and a little quieter then I was expecting. The scat pack had the balls out in your face while the car was a rocking idling feeling. LOL. Deff had a more old school power house feel.

I’d love to have an f8 green scat pack challenger.... But out of my price range for now. Maybe in 10 years when they are a dime a dozen.....

That's a very interesting comment, Zach. I wonder if that carries over tween a Scat Pack Charger and a Hellcat Charger.

The Hellcat really comes alive when you do a resonator delete. It will blow the dust off the roof. The SCATPAK has a similar exhaust setup but the shaker gives it a little more growl. The electric exhaust cutouts are the best way to have both setups at once. The Demon is a completely different monster...

At idle they all sound refined but my preference is a Charger Hellcat.

Well, what F'd up day!

I recieved one of those letters from the MVA fining me $150 for day one of not having proof of insurance on my 2017 300C starting on 4/17. No problem, I'll just waste half a day at the MVA and let them know that I traded the 300C in on that day. As I'm waiting for hours to get my number called I noticed my new registration for the Scat Pack says 2017 300C. The dumbass at the dealer registered my Scat Pack as the old car. On top of that the dealer gave me the sales contract and NOT the bill of sale that has the info (VIN and mileage) of the car I traded in. So the MVA couldn't unlock the insurance verification suspension until I went back to the dealer to get the Bill of Sale. So while I was there I gave her my insurance card for the Scat Pack and asked her if I had valid registration on it. She said there is nothing in the system for the Scat Pack and there isn't a valid Title in the MVA system either. So I have been driving the Scat Pack for 1600 miles during the last month without a valid Title or registration. I told the idiots at the dealer that I know someone in Alberta that can straighten this dealership out if they need someone!!!! So I ended up going back to the Dealer and then back to the MVA and got the suspension lifted. The dealer issued me a temporary registration until they can get the mess fixed.

If you did you might want to check and see if your registration is valid!

Probably one of the hundred loafers too busy chasing the hot new greeter to get your paper work done correctly!

Umm wow that takes a lot of effort to screw up that bad! The NVIS (New Vehicle Information Statement) has to be given to the MVA as the vehicle has never been registered and is a ghost otherwise. Up here the NVIS is your title for first registration after that it can not be used again. Go through all your paperwork Bob and make sure everything is for the Charger. Might explain why the window sticker wasn't available as they mis-reported the sale??
 
The lady at the MVA was kind enough to take care of me when I came back to the MVA for the 2nd time today. That saved me 3 hours standing online and waiting for my number to get called again.

Would a word with the dealership owner be in order suggesting all the aggravation caused by his inept staff might be worth a nice dealer installed accessory or at least a couple free oil changes?

I did get 5 free oil changes on the day that I bought the Scat Pack. But EVERYONE that buys a new car from this dealer gets that.

When I go back for the permanent registration and tags I'm going to ask for a CAI for my wasted time and aggravation. Then when they say no I'm going to ask for 1/2 price on the CAI.

Graham, am I out of line here or should I insist on something for all the trouble. BTW, it's been almost a month and my trade still hasn't been paid off.

Since my discovery that the Scat Pack didn't have a valid registration. I had to drive the Ram today.

It was like driving a brick!!!!
