I pulled the trigger on 2019 Scat Pack Charger

My Ram is my preferred vehicle for comfort and ease of driving on long trips.

So, the 4 door full size RWD family sedan rides less refined than a half ton extended cab pickup.
My, how times have changed.

My thought exactly.

I'm sure if you were to test the SXT Charger, it would ride head and shoulders above the Scat Pack for comfort. Handling on the other hand...

WTH Bob they haven’t paid out your trade lien? We do that within 24hrs of you signing it over. That’s crap! Sounds like they have a process problem. As far as getting free stuff for the aggravation good luck! Since FCA stopped caring about the customer experience and eliminated the customer survey Dealers don’t much care either. The Mopar CAI runs $400+ up here so I’m guessing best they will do is a discount or sell it at “Dealer cost” uh huh sure they will.

Well, what F'd up day!

I recieved one of those letters from the MVA fining me $150 for day one of not having proof of insurance on my 2017 300C starting on 4/17. No problem, I'll just waste half a day at the MVA and let them know that I traded the 300C in on that day. As I'm waiting for hours to get my number called I noticed my new registration for the Scat Pack says 2017 300C. The dumbass at the dealer registered my Scat Pack as the old car. On top of that the dealer gave me the sales contract and NOT the bill of sale that has the info (VIN and mileage) of the car I traded in. So the MVA couldn't unlock the insurance verification suspension until I went back to the dealer to get the Bill of Sale. So while I was there I gave her my insurance card for the Scat Pack and asked her if I had valid registration on it. She said there is nothing in the system for the Scat Pack and there isn't a valid Title in the MVA system either. So I have been driving the Scat Pack for 1600 miles during the last month without a valid Title or registration. I told the idiots at the dealer that I know someone in Alberta that can straighten this dealership out if they need someone!!!! So I ended up going back to the Dealer and then back to the MVA and got the suspension lifted. The dealer issued me a temporary registration until they can get the mess fixed.
Umm wow that takes a lot of effort to screw up that bad! The NVIS (New Vehicle Information Statement) has to be given to the MVA as the vehicle has never been registered and is a ghost otherwise. Up here the NVIS is your title for first registration after that it can not be used again. Go through all your paperwork Bob and make sure everything is for the Charger. Might explain why the window sticker wasn't available as they mis-reported the sale??

I'm thinking you screwed up, Bob, obviously you still owned the lease AND had a free Scat Pack... I think with the right scumbag lawyer, you could have tied the dealer up for a very long time... first step after putting the new one into secure storage would be to slap your plate onto the old 300 and let them try to tell you it isn't yours anymore... I bet you held all of the cards before this started and you allowed them CYA paperwork time.

I bought the Scat Pack on 4/17 and traded my 300 in on the same day. I just checked a few minutes ago and my trade still isnt paid off! On 4/27 I had to make another payment on the 300 since the loan wasn't paid off. The dealer redid my Scat Pack and lowered my payment to recover the cost that I paid on the payment on the 300. On 5/27 I'll be forced to make another payment.

The CAI is about $400. Graham, what do you think dealer cost would be? I'm going to ask for it at dealer cost.

No, it wasn't a lease. I had a loan on the 300. I reminded these knotheads that I bought 3 new vehicles from them in last 24 months! That doesn't seem to really matter to them very much!

While I like the concept that stupid gay equal sign shouldn't be in there. If it were 69 that should be a Fratzog. The double dash is lame , very very lame .

A snowflake artist doesn't know that....

I agree it's a cool throwback concept!

For those of us not in the loop.... what the he'll is a CAI? And why is it $400 beans.

Cold Air Intake

Thanks! But I don't get it.... the air going in is only going to be as cold as ambient outside air temperature. Hook it up to the evaporator box, or plumb a mini evaporator core from the ac system in there and you'd have something. Especially if it was turbo charged. Or is that what this is....

You don't have that already?
I would like to see proof that it does anything. My wife's '11 Jeep takes in air through a scoop at the grill to hood gap, no where else on the body is the air going to be colder and with more pressure the the grill area, barring putting a giant scoop on it. Yes, I believe there is a piece of corrugated piping that probably resrtiction WOT air somewhat (air direction gets disrupted with non smooth sides).
So does anyone offer proof that it works, or is it just another shiney piece to replace the ugly but highly functional plastic pieces. Not trying to be a dick Bob but I think a freebie for your troubles on a part that offers no comparison proof that it works.
IMO
