I don't know about cutting it off completly but I have to agree with it should be a miserable circus act of jumping though hundreds of hoops just to get any visa with a ton of vetting. I know that I have to jump though a lot of hoops just to be able to make a living with my truck and keep a couple of crappy latemodel cars on the road all due to govt' regs and requirements.
