I've been known to lock mine inside the car. Loved the Cown Vic I drove for years, it had a keypad on the door. No problems with the Fury convertible either, never been locked. Can't see the reason why to lock a convertible, too easy to cut the top.

I use a locksmith quite often who impressions keys.
I pay $100 for a steel key down here in God's waiting room.

I had my main keys for my truck fall into the Christmas lights storage container out of my coat pocket. They were missing for about 3 months when I accidentally found them again when putting the lights away
