I hear you. If the car had been in better condition with lower miles on it, I would have pushed a lot harder right then and there to close a deal. But I do have one of these sitting in the wings that is better overall with lower miles and while it isn't quite as nice as triple black, it is still going to be a looker.I recently told someone selling a car that I wanted the car they were selling, she gave me a similar story that is in the quotation. Then sold the car despite my being respectful of her situation. Dont let their position dictate the outcome of your purchase of the car.
The seller may be waiting a while to move these cars. Shouldn't a project like that be more in the 2K range?
Hmmm , i guess that was not the seller of the $1200,- 71 Monaco wagon...........
Someone from this forum needs to go and see these cars and report back with photos and a description of their condition. Too many nice and hard to find projects in this collection.
Who is near Cincy?
You can count on me to check out the collection. I am probably only 1 1/2- 2 hours away. I will check them out and take my good camera for better pictures. I will go during the week if possible. I plan on sending a follow up email with my phone number.
Let me know and I will dig deep in any specific car. I am going to check out all the wagons in depth.
I like that yellowish/gold 72 fury he has but can't tell if it's a two or 4 door with the plastic he has draped over it in the picture.
Thanks for pointing that out, I wasn't sure if that was the interior of the 72, was too excited flipping through all those pictures of this collection.

On the older models let me know if there is something specific I should look for, I know nothing about this cars.
My friend who is going with me has a Super B clone and a Duster, and know the value of these cars and could give you a great assessment. It looks like there are a couple of A bodies in pic 10. Maybe you wouldn't mind getting a little info on them too???
It looks like it might be in the best shape of the group. Maybe only driven for a dozen yearsOddly enough that 73 Chrysler is the standout to me
Unfortunately, I have to play the Devil's advocate here, and wonder, with what Steve found out, if they even have titles... looks like a nice collection but if the old timer failed to pay for storage over the last 4 years, then passed away, chances are there are no titles to any of them and that could be big trouble. On the other hand... the prices could, or should, be very negotiable with out them. Don't get your hopes up too high, unless you're up to the challenge of dealing with the dmv of your choice. Just sayinThe owner of the cars passed away not too long ago, and he did not pay storage fees for some 4 years, and the deceased's estate owners didn't want the cars. So I guess he paid back storage fees and got the cars that are now being sold.
During my discussion with him, I asked about titles and he said he was in the process of getting them now that he was the owner of the collection. Not sure that means he will be successful, but I didn't push him since that is no concern at least here in California.Unfortunately, I have to play the Devil's advocate here, and wonder, with what Steve found out, if they even have titles... looks like a nice collection but if the old timer failed to pay for storage over the last 4 years, then passed away, chances are there are no titles to any of them and that could be big trouble. I agree, and good luck dealing with Ohio on a title problem. AMHIK.Honestly the titles were the first thing that popped in my head, and was going to be my first question.
