My 1970 Dodge Polara 9 passenger.

Definitely got lucky. Hopefully the seats hold up when they start getting used again.
My experience with Poppy (same year/model, 'vert version of the same bench seats/vinyl, 3 driving seasons and 3k miles) suggests that they will.

If for whatever reason you may choose to get rid of the rubber floor mats DO NOT throw them away (unless they are badly damaged). They are worth a lot, police car restorers are always looking for them.

It's carpet. Very nasty carpet.

Slow progress. Over the past few months I have pulled the engine to refresh.

I also restored the fuel tank.

A few small spots my father and I brazed up then soldered over.

Then I used POR15 tank sealer on the inside...

I then rolled some black POR15 on the outside

What is the odometer showing Wyatt - I don't think I ever saw that number in your posts?

That is going to be a very fine looking/running wagon soon. Nice work!

102 or 103k if my memory is correct. I'll run next door get a pic shortly when I go on break here at work.

Last reply was 6/1/21. Much has happened to this one since then.

It sat untouched most of 2021. Collecting parts (and dust). Being lazy. Being distracted with a number of other C bodies put this on the back burner....

Spring of 22 I figured it was time to get this thing together. I reassembled the engine after checking out the short block and determining I may be able to get away without a rebuild for a while. I got a summit 6401 cam. Scored some rebuilt 516 heads locally with bigger 2.08/1.74 valves and 440 source stealth springs. I figured it would be a nice running 383.

I had a set of crappy roadwheels I pieced together. 2 - 15x6 - 2 - 15x7. Had them blasted and painted them silver/argent like the W21 Style road wheel. Wrapped with 235 70 and 275 60 Milestar Streetsteel tires.

I got the engine in and running shortly before 2022 Volo, but the 3" TTI was slow to ship and held me back from meeting my deadline. It gets pushed off to the side once again.

In September of 22 Manny came down and we went through and rebuilt the entire brake system with a combination of good used or rebuilt parts I had on hand. Its nice to not having to run to the parts store several times.

I finally get it stopping good enough to get her down to the muffler shop to have them finish up my ridiculously loud side exit neighbor haters. My father picked it up for me while I was at work and said...."uh this thing is toast it doesn't want to move."

I manage to get it to the shop and drop the pan. The filter was clogged completely. I changed the filter and what do ya know? We are moving again! I drove the car around Rockford a little bit and even 65 miles round trip to work and back. Yipppeee! Its fixed...or so I thought...

In October every year I like to attend the final Morris Cruise night, followed the next morning by the Fall classic. Its usually my season ending events. I got up early and tried to shine it up quickly and just get it ready for the trek down south. Filled the tank before going home to get cleaned up...thats when the trans started acting up again. I got it back to the shop and it sat untouched until last Friday night. Tim came out and helped me get a different used 727 in the car, so I can have it moving while I spend the time debugging the rest of the car. I can build one later. It just needed to be on the road and at the C body show.

Over 200 miles trouble free over the weekend. Ripping up the expressways. 2nd gear blasts through tunnels/overpasses on 290. This thing is the public nuisance I envisioned it would be.

Looking good......................

You and @T-revorNobody have very similar wagons now and both are getting upgraded. Progress is great to see on both fronts.

I had to use the Wagon to navigate the snowstorm we had, the charger wouldn't really move, and I let my Ram go to another owner. So winter duty for my Rust bucket was the answer. Drifting and doing doughnuts in a wagon was something I always wanted to do!!!

Also I picked up a donor car from a former member that passed away - PADDYWAGON. @70 Sport Suburban @sixpkrt @St.John All helped me get the car and PILE of parts loaded and back to Rockford from Demotte Indiana.

Between the original wagon, the 70 Monaco wagon parts car, and now this one, formally owned by @azblackhemi. I should be able to make 1 solid wagon, and drive car as is with the rusty/beat up body until I have the replacement shell ready for the interior and drivetrain.
