I have a question about my 2018 Gen 4 Ram.

I know this is a trivial issue.....

The heated steering wheel quit working on my Ram. I'm pretty sure I know how to operate it. You push the heated steering wheel button and its suppose to stay on for a 80 minute cycle. Well mine shuts off after a count of one second. Any ideas besides take it back to the dealer? It's a 2018 so it's a warranty issue.

On my Durango I can also turn on the heated steering wheel through the U- Connect screen. Maybe Bob try that?

Yep, I tried both ways. The heated steering wheel comes on for one second and shuts down immediately.

Well Peter to be honest I've never had to use it and probably never will. I only found out I even had it a couple of weeks ago when I was playing around with the display.

I hope you at least use the ventilated seats then.

The trucks up to '18 for sure have 3 buttons. Two for the seats and one for the wheel.

The cars are programmed to turn on the heated seat (and wheel if so equipped) when the car is started at a temperature of 40°F or below.

I have found but one button to turn on the heated wheel ('19 RAM-DT). And it lives in the Uconnect.

So far in my 19, it wont remember your settings when you remote start it. It will turn the seats/wheel/defrost(s) on at it's pre-determined temp, not the ones you try to save.

My 15 had the hard switches
