We have never had a 8' box on a Megacab. Only shortboxes. There has been talk of a 8' bed but it never was produced.
When they came out, I swear the first one I saw had an 8' bed. Then I saw a short bed, and thought it looked funny

I was mistaken. The bed was 9'. This CA dealer was selling the Texas-built conversions. That's where I got the contact info from. This was in 2012/13. Watch starting at about 2:10 for the Laramie version.

I remember seeing these as a response to the F-450 pickup which at the time Ford was enjoying exclusive market share on. Now with the increases to the capability of the 3500 it made these trucks somewhat redundant.

My local Dodge dealer said they will build anything you want. Kind of pricey with Mega Cab's in the $88k to $92k range.

Now convert to CDN $$.....$108000 is the new reality on a Megacab Dually 4x4 Limited

They'd build anything you want as long as they say it comes in a package . Try a sunroof, cloth seats and rubber floors ...

I was with you until the rubber floors. We can cover the carpet in vinyl for around $500 on a SLT truck with a Sunroof.....but my customers seem to prefer the creature comforts as you are well aware of...
