I have stained glass in my Maryland house that came from my great grandparents house in Milwaukee from 1890. Lead seams and all.

Fire house built in 1888 and still in use. This is 1 block from where I went to high school. I walked past this building twice day for 4 years.

Marathon county, been there a lot as my Grandma lived in Wausau. Another reason to get out that way. I'll have to pass through on the way back from one of the events in Illinois, Volo or CatL!

Or on your way to Carlisle.....

My mother and her family migrated to Thorp from Austria in 1932. My mother was born in 1935 and she is the only person in her family that was born in the USA.

This particular house is not in Milwaukee, rather it is in Auburn, New York, but it is gathering attention because of the way it is being sold by the city, which purchased it. The house is being offered for sale for $50K but the buyer must convince the city that they plan to restore it and have the means to do so. The home itself is like many in Milwaukee with architecture from another era that needs to be preserved, and I thought it would be worthwhile to show it in Bob's very interesting thread...................:
