Pabst Brewery and Mansion

This particular house is not in Milwaukee, rather it is in Auburn, New York, but it is gathering attention because of the way it is being sold by the city, which purchased it. The house is being offered for sale for $50K but the buyer must convince the city that they plan to restore it and have the means to do so. The home itself is like many in Milwaukee with architecture from another era that needs to be preserved, and I thought it would be worthwhile to show it in Bob's very interesting thread...................:

Thanks Steve!

Very interesting!

One can not help but admire the pursuit of excellence in the design and detail of that lavish theater. I am very glad that it is being maintained to give us a glimpse back into the days when theaters were grand. A real treasure for Milwaukee.

That theater is within walking distance of my parents house. I went there all the time as a kid. My dad did too. And my Grandpa went there as a young man. Every inch of that theatre is very ornate.
