Saw the CL ad for this one a week ago, thought that someone would have posted it by now. My search on FCBO came up empty, though: I hope this is not a repost. Regardless, I haven't seen it before and the fender tag holds a few puzzles for me:

Rare 1969 Chrysler 300 convertible

As @polara71 has noted here, the 1969 fender tags don't say much. Consistent with Dave's observation, one would think (based on the tag alone) that this one is pretty low-optioned--yet it has power windows and cornering lights.

The car is painted a creamy white, but the tag says F8/F8. Here is the fender tag decoded, courtesy MyMopar - Mopar Forums & Information - 1969-1974 Mopar Fender Tag Decoder:

C: Chrysler
M: Medium
27: Convertible

K: Unknown
--> first puzzle: what is this? If this were an M, it'd be a "special order V8". It is a K, however, same as on Wollfen's car.
9: 1969
C: Jefferson Avenue, MI, USA

100409: Sequence number

E85: 440 cid 4 barrel V8 350hp
D32: Heavy Duty Automatic Transmission
F8: Dark Green Metallic Exterior Color
F8: Trim - Luxury, Unknown, Unknown Color
M6G: Unknown Int. Door Frames (I suspect G is for "green")
730: Build Date: July 30
111273: Order number

R23: Search Tune AM/FM Radio (5 1/2 Watts)
R31: Rear Seat Speaker(s)
P31: Power Windows

C21: Center Front Seat Cushion

B41: Front Disc Brakes w/Standard 10in RR Drum
--> second puzzle: the first letter has vaporized, anything else this more likely?
G15: Tinted Windshield

L35: Cornering Lamps

And here is the third puzzle: what is this shiny bolt doing next to a disintegrating tag?

The “K” code is a standard 440 350hp in 67 to 69.
And the shiny bold next to the fender tag looks like a newer battery hold down J bolt.

10Gs for a car without a motor and trans and a clapped out interior....
Ok,, soo motor/trans comes with but not in..

Well, at least it's one more car for @sauterd's registry of 1969 300 convertibles.

Super early car, probably 1st or second day of production.

This has been posted for months and months. I haven’t posted it here because I thought somebody else would take the time to. It’s rough and it’s pricey.

It may be in California - but it’s in a shipping container, and far too many people do not know how to properly seal a container. It could of been sitting in humidity for years. This will 100% require an in person inspection.
