Couple of old Winnies showing off. One doing burnouts for sure a 440, the one doing donuts (that almost flips) I dunno.

Top video looked light in the tail... bottom had the rear brakes disabled I bet, or at least not fully functioning for whatever reason. I don't think my old 440 28 footer could have done as well and the bus with air brakes and the 427/alison certainly would want an ice patch to spinout. Too much weight and traction and zero desire to break anything... they win.
They have fun up here once or twice a year racing school buses on a quarter mile dirt track. Draws quite a crowd I hear, may even go one of these times.
I have to admit... I did speak to my insurance agent about taking the old 28' rv to the track to go bracket racing just before it got dismantled for the bus... the main thing that stopped me was a wheel cylinder puked out just before hand... I had to limp the thing about a mile to the dismantling site. I figured my egg timer passes would be at least as amusing as the old grocery getter's... and I didn't plan to last long either.nothing I wanna do either .. no Darwin awards for me.
I am just always fascinated at the variety of things people want to try on very large and/or otherwise ungainly vehicles.
If I look, I'll bet I will find folks with RV's racing on oval tracks or something else equally "fish-out-of-water" type activity . That's would be kinda like seeing a two-headed animal ... both fascinating and darn unsettling at the same time.
AbsolutelyOk...then its highly likely somebody is racing Old Winnie's too somewhere

Original Willie Nelson Family Band Tour Bus 1983 Eagle
Original Willie Nelson Family Band Tour Bus 1983 Eagle
"Me and Paul" was custom built in 1983 by Florida Coach for the Willie Nelson Family Band. Drummer Paul English owned this amazing bus which was one of four original Willie Nelson Family Band tour buses commissioned at the same time and used to tour all over the US together for several years. The "Me and Paul" bus is the only well-preserved bus out of the four. This is super unique because most tour buses are used for a tour then get retro-fitted for another client and the band never uses it again. Besides some mechanical upgrades, this bus has been very well preserved and still looks like the inside of a vintage stage coach or VIP train car complete with rich Mahogany, many leather boundings, and crushed red velvet. After the band finished using the bus it moved around the country for years with a number of different owners. In May 2014, a group of Austin Texas entrepreneurs and Outlaw Country fans purchased the bus and have been using it personally as well as renting it out. Renters have used the bus for all sorts of logistics including weddings, concert green rooms, band tours, corporate transportation, etc. These entrepreneurs have been too busy with work and family and have decided to get the bus on the road again for its next journey.
The bus is being held for auction until November 7th, 2016.

That last one is at an RV dealer here, and I do see it every day. They have it on display in front of the dealership all the time. Here's a few you dont see everyday .. more of the "homemade" variety I would guess.

small world. Thanks. Would this setup be "stable" under load and at speed? OR is it just to attract attention to the dealership?
I may able to answer my own question ...
