Not nessicarily, but it would effect the overall performance of your engine...over time...and depending on how much you drive the car. That would cause the hard start when hot?
The "mechanic" doesn't know?so could the new coil be bad?
He tested an the coil was not producing and spark.
I guess we DID need to become "technicians"The "mechanic" doesn't know?
Especially after this?
My mistake, he says its bad. I guess my real question ....is there anything in my setup that is destroying coils? This coil is one month old.
There's a lot of reasons why the coil failed, including that it was just a bad coil. For example, too low resistance in the ballast resistor or you have it wired wrong so it bypasses the ballast etc.My mistake, he says its bad. It's a lost art, cantflip.I guess we DID need to become "technicians"
I enjoy the board too... but you don't have to load the questions... we seem to find enough difficulty as it is...and I didn't ask him the question because I like the discussion on the board.
That will burn the threads on the relay and make it more fun to replace later....you can do the same with the starter relay on your car. bridge from the large + lug to the small lug with the starter wire ( can't remember the wire color off the top of my head)
