So I bought this one today.

Thanks but the plum one is FAR from being back on the road but I think I have a good plan.
OK, maybe that was a poor choice of words on my part. But..... you are saving those cars from rusting away. I am sure we have all stumbled into the proverbial car we stop and ask about. Only to be asked..... well how much is that car worth to you and you reply with a reasonable offer. Then, we get to hear the famous answer, I have turned down more (you insert own experience here). Or, I am going to restore that car in a year or two, (as you have seen that it has been sitting in the same spot for years rusting into the ground).

I apologize if I sound negative. But, I would much rather see a car on the road even if it may need work instead of letting one rot away due to greed or laziness. Or trying to retire from the sale of the car after it has sat outside neglected and forgotten all because you saw one similar to yours sale on Barrett Jackson sell for some crazy price.

I may not do anything cosmetically except replace the broken part of the grille, the left front fender extension and a new cornering lens, oh and bring the original paint back as best I can. Otherwise I just want to turn it into a driver.

As is the rug. Pretty solid pans over all with one small hole and maybe 2 more thin spots that are just as small.:)

Ever wonder what the table mount bracket in one of these looks like? Obviously the rear rug is Mobile Director specific.

All of the windows are now lubed up and working smoothly. I removed all of the motors, replaced one non working and cleaned and regressed the gear drives in the rest. I also replaced one of the front regulators because the nylon wheel didn’t rotate on it and I had several in stock that had wheels that spun freely. Also lubed the vent window motors.
Also got all four cigar lighters back in working order, they were all messed up and all 4 ashtrays were full of butts.
Pictures of this would’ve been boring.
Also a good time to note that a playing card was found under the rear seat which is kind of neat seeing as how there’s a great card table for just such a thing.:D
Next is to replace both the panel dimmer and headlight switches with rebuilt ones by non other than our very own @Devinism .:)
