Ok all...Recap: I offered to pay for two extra cuts to cover the back, but Tabatha from Stock Interiors said she was in touch with ACC and she wanted to make this right. She said that ACC had Trim Parts templates, so ACC wanted to see what my rear carpet looked like and asked permission from me if I could send her back the carpet they send and my original carpet. 10days later, I got me original carpet back and a new cut and it's perfect!

Take a look guys! Stock Interiors really went above and beyond and ACC did their part and did it right!

Based on your experiences, I've requested samples from stock interiors... Rather ironic I suppose since I was the first guy looking for answers, but better late than never.

Ok guys here is the result:

Insulation installed (Great suggestion by John). Carpet came in perfect cut...Stock Interiors did it! Used soldering iron to make the holes...genius again John! Carpet settled in perfectly. Used weights to keep it down. Floor spot stripped and covered with SEM Rust Trap...Great stuff! Just watch out for factory seam sealer! Drain plugs cleaned and some replaced with all rubber OEM and sealed w/Black RTV. Had to re-tap seat belt holes...used new bolts from Year 1...great fit! (T20 seat belt bolt...check your original for legnth). I used wide Velcro strips to secure the insulation in case I ever needed to get in there again versus contact cement...worked very well! I had a good buddy help me...It would have been a lot more difficult by myself. Restored the dash and steering column while I was at it! (I think I have pics in another post of that). Installed an Alpine stereo with remote for under dash too.

The carpet was a breeze to cut as there wasn't much to trim. Both front and rear perfect!!! I am more than satisfied! Stock Interiors really did it right! I believe she said they used ACC carpet but was cut with Trim Parts template mold (not sure)...but it is very correct!

The Velcro is a good idea.

I did end up purchasing the OEM cut loop from Stock Interiors which would be correct for a '79 Magnum. No after photos because I'm just conquering my stereo upgrade issue, but the "sample" and ordering phase went well.
 
Just a heads up for the owners of the 69 to 71 C-Body owners looking to purchase carpet for your car. After doing some research and having issues providing the carpet for owners of these cars, we have discovered that the rear floor pans are different lengths and thus the issue with the ACC carpet fitting properly to the rear floor pans.

There are three distinct different floor pans with the Plymouth pan being the shortest, Dodge being the intermediate and the Chrysler being the longest. There is something like a seven inch difference between the Plymouth to the Chrysler.

This information has been provided and they are working to create part numbers to reflect those changes. They have the correct molds in place with the purchase of the Trim Parts carpet line. So hopefully going forward, this will not be a known issue for the owners of the 69 to 71 C-Body.

Once I get a confirmation from my ACC rep, I will post so that you guys will know. At this point, if you are placing an order, make sure that the vendor you are dealing with can specifically order the correct rear carpet.
 
Ok gang, I'm pulling the plug on the Magnum interior redo-project for the spring. The original carpet was a "thicker" shag, like you'd find in a C-body (including my Royal Monaco Brougham). That said, the cut loop is pretty nice and few people will ever know the difference.

The fit is very good, with a nice margin of error around the edges. These era B-s have pretty complex floor stampings and they did a good job following.

I also tried the soldering iron trick and recommend it...although have a fan handy. I also wrapped mine in aluminum foil so I have a reasonable chance of seeing it clean again.

I can't tell you how many stereo nuts told me what I wanted (keeping the stock head unit) couldn't be done. Well, it can be done and it sounds fine. It also kept my dash from becoming this:

So the CB has one of those radio conversions where it's all new guts with iPod pug in etc? If so I'd like to know the company as I have an 8 track to convert and most companies I've found don't do cassette or 8 tracks.

...and you won't. The conversions are just contemporary knob-tuned (thus low end) aftermarket units reconfigured to fit inside an old OEM shell.

To be fair, "rebuilding" an old unit takes a high degree of skill and the demand isn't high enough for someone to make a living. I had a working unit, but I wanted more power and an isolation between it and the modern speakers to protect its almost 40 old transistors and capacitors. All I thus needed to do was tap a 12v feed on the circuit board (one side of the on/off pot) to trigger a remote amp to operate. Now the amp does all the work, absorbs any speaker problems and my radio still thinks it's just playing at low volume. The MP3 signal is simply injected through the antenna feed. This (and the charge port) draw very little power, so they're supplied from that radio power signal and have their own independent fuses.
