Stormer's 67 Polara Build

I will be there looking forward to seeing you. It is actually a common weekend that I take some vacation time, because my anniversary always falls on the Good Guys weekend, but no vacation this year. I hope to drive Goldie there too, but not enter her in the show itself.

Ross, is that an 8" or a 10" sub? Nice job on building the box. What are the wires for on top the box? Is that for the cap?
You must be syked you got your paint kit in!! I'd like to jump on the Ferry and come down and watch you do this. Maybe one day we can get together and hang out. Your about 2 1/2 hours from me.

What's the Good Guys weekend?

Ross, I've ridden you hard about this dippy thingie but I will admit I am interested in how it looks at the end.

I meant no disrespect to Ross (Stormer). I just asked a question. Iam sorry my questions took this post off topic.
Next time I have a forum related question I will go on the line to look for my answer............

I haven't responded out of respect for Ross's thread figuring you guys had been around the internet long enough to have some grasp of what Mods do, how they get to be Mods, or at least had access to google.

There's been enough distraction already .. normally that's actually what makes this forum so fun but this thread is one of the few that deserves to be at least a little on focus. So take your :poke: crap to a new thread and get all your misunderstandings and frustrations out.

Start a new thread or send me, Gary, or Joey a PM and one or all of us will answer your questions

It's an 11" sub & the distribution blocks are just sitting there in the photo. They'll be mounted on the back of the box. I'm running a 0 gauge wire for power & ground then two distribution blocks with 4 gauge and another distribution block for ground.

I'm smack dead center Ohio so I think we're more than a couple hours apart.

It's not for everybody. I happen to love dipped cars but some people don't.

Where the hell did I get Maryland from? LMAO..! Thanks for the info on the sub! Looks great.

Turned out pretty decent except for two problems:

1. Adding the clear at a 50/50 ratio turned the color way too gray.
2. The gun clogged at a really bad time & it took some dicking around to figure out where the clog was.

I plan to remedy both problems by spraying 3 more gallons next weekend with a 2:1 ratio of black/clear. Overall I am absolutely thrilled with the result & I know that dipping is for me. Gonna dip the Imp next.

Pictures coming soon...

The crud on the door & quarter will wash off but it's not cured enough to get wet, yet...

Looking good Ross and I want to take you up on your offer to stop by your shop at the nats if possible I'll bring beer and I won't be offended by F-bombs LOL. Wow work a little longer days and you miss a lot around here.

How controlled is the overspray? Is it like regular paint or is it thick from the beginning?

any pictures that aren't the size of a postage stamp? would really like to see the how it looks.
