Sweden 2017

Great pics, thanks for sharing!

FWIW, they do the "Syracuse Nationals" near me with over 8000 pre 85 cars. It's the same weekend as Chryslers at Carlisle, so I don't attend.

Damn it! Ive heard of that show and frequently forget about it. Id love to go for obvious reasons. John, have you ever gone, ever?

I have as a spectator.

It used to be the weekend before Carlisle, but they changed it last year.

The show is huge.... It takes up the entire NY State Fair grounds. It's asphalt mostly and you have to get there really early to get a decent parking spot. It's mostly street rods and everything is mixed together. The crowds are huge and the vendors are all about selling new street rod parts. They draw a lot of cars (and $$) to the area and everything gears up around here the week before.

Last year there was a lot of complaining about lack of food and IIRC, clean restrooms. I haven't been out with my car since I got home from Carlisle so I haven't heard anything from my friends that went this year.

Honestly.... This show is 20 minutes away and I drive to Carlisle...

Syracuse Nationals

There's roughly 26 million people in Scandinavia, I realise there would have been an influx of cars from the rest of Europe, but given there was another show on as well.... probably better than 1 in 1000 Scand's have a USA car AND went to a car show that weekend.

No wonder Summit picked their game up with international shipping in the last few years

We drove criss-cross through sweden in between the two big shows and you see american cars everywhere! you drive 30 minutes without seeing any houses and then in the middle of the woods, there is a red wooden house... And a us car next to it!
Absolutely amazing to see so many cars up there!

I'm still not very happy with summits shipping costs, but it's better then a few yoers ago, yes. But it's a big market for them! They had their own booth on the Västeras Summer Meet, never saw that in Germany...

In the unlikely event that I ever get to see any of Europe... I want it to be a place that loves AC/DC and American Classics...:thankyou:

Oh my...

This is something I'd like to attend as a visitor. We have relatives in Austria. Maybe fly into Sweden and spend a few days at the show before heading south...hmmm...

This experiance is just a flight away ;) And believe me, it's worth the trip! :)
Thanks... maybe someday... I'm still working on my handful of states I visit or drive through on very rare occasions. I am going to take my first airline trip sitting in first class at the end of the year. I determined I could not put myself through another 5 hour flight to AZ trying to fold myself into the shrinking coach chairs.

Maybe this will be my dry run before I try some international travel... but I think my first trip would be to bug some of the northern membership. @Dobalovr seems to find too much cool Formal stuff for me not to at least want to check it out.

1st class is good! But I fear it's not really an option for flying to europe. That's crazy expensive across the ocean :/

I dislike flying in the first place... I have developed a pretty annoying allergy to perfumes and too often I get to share the armrest with someone who marinated in it as opposed to bathing. Jack Daniels has been the only source of relief so far... My buy up was only $200 for the round trip, so I figured it was time for a new experience.

Yes. At The Garlits Show 2-3 years ago. Everytime I read his posts now, I can hear his German accent and it just makes the post all the better.

His enthusiasm and knowledge of so many individual C bodies and their whereabouts is unmatched in the C body world. When he visits my place, we talk all day long and enjoy every minute. He is just the best!
