I sold the car for $6,000.00, easily 1/2 what I had into it but recouping my money was never thought about for one second.

Ok, that was my next question, do you think it is still a $6K car then? I can't see spending $11K, but with the new hood and some interior work, also depending on how strong the motor is, I could see it as a decent DD for $5K-$6k. Oh, and of course the AC has to work.

FWIW, I left a 300 5.7 looking at my tail lights so it was that quick or he was a really shitty driver.
Also, a Chevy P/U with a built small block 383.

What rear was in it ?

NO. it's been abused, neglected, and gawd knows what. It's now rusty, too .
I have a feeling the hydraulic clutch and hydraulic throw out bearing is a mess now and I'm the only one that can figure it out now.

A good 25-hundred car. Add a grand or two if the car really grabs your heart.

The scratch was I WANTED a luxury full sized RWD big V8 4 speed like the old 300. Couldn't afford it so I used what I had. A car that would never be valuable, I loved, so... Why not.
FWIW, I still want to do a Caprice/Crown Vic conversion but that ain't happening.
Rears were the original open 9-1/4 with 3.51 gears from a late model Jeep.
Never tracked it.
Yes, had both of them. Somewhere there's a pic of the two of them together stacked in one bay, lol. But the search engine here sucks. I'll look again.

I think its still a 5-6000 car for the guy who's gotta have it.

What a huge undertaking that had to be. How long did it take to complete once you got started?

From the time of lowering the transmission crossmember to the first outing was one year. There's a youtube vid of the first test drive but can't find that either.
