So I was talking to my wife, who normally isn't into cars, and found out she has a list of movie/TV cars she wants, which got me thinking, and I figured a top 3 would be fun... So I ask my wife and she says:

1) The 1967 Impala from supernatural

2) Herbie the love bug

3) The Magic School Bus

Not what I was expecting lol. but I made my own list and here it is:

1) Daisy Duke's Plymouth Sattelite

2) A-Team Van

3) Here's where I get stuck though... Death Proof Charger? 2 Lane Blacktop '55 Chevy? The punisher's GTO Judge? The Ford LTD from White Lightning? That one guy's yellow Cuda convertible? Boss Hogg's Cadillac? Bandit's Trans Am?

As I sit here typing this, it all clicked...

The 71 Newport from Joyride.... duh

How about the Brady Bunch C-Bodies !!!!

If there was some sort of "Makeup Artist" involved in the creation of the appearance of this barge, he'd deserve an Oscar.
The view of this truck scared the hell out of me as a kid together with that invisible Driver just showing the boots. ..

This was difficult but I think I need to put them in order. I have always been a fan of the original Batmobile and as a kid I grew up on Speed Racer, the Mach 5 was a pretty cool car. But back to reality the California Kid 34 Ford almost made me a street rod person. As I got older I moved on to Knight Rider, goofy show but what wasn’t at that time, still a cool custom (almost bought a Trans Am in 86). But without a doubt my favorite TV/Movie car has to be the Ford Falcon in Mad Max (not the Road Warrior). Not 3, oh well.

Oh man, there are a whole lot of TV & Movie cars that I liked over the years, some real, some not.

When I was a kid, I used to watch a show called UFO. It was produced by the same people who produced Space 1999. As a kid, I thought some of the cars on that show looked pretty cool. The cars sounded like they were gas turbines or jet powered, but on the show they never mentioned what powered them. The show was on around 1970 or 71 and was supposed to take place in 1980. This is apparently what they thought cars would look like in 1980.

They were right about women having purple hair in the future though. :laughing5:

I liked the original Batmobile too, but it was the only one that I liked. I also liked the Mad Max Falcon.

As for real cars, yeah, I liked Daisy's Satellite. I was pissed off when they wrecked it, but then the show could only have one star...The General. Mannix had some cool cars I would certainly love to own. I like the Bullit Mustang and the black Charger. The Dirty Mary Crazy Larry Charger and the Vanishing Point Challenger also make my list. I'd take the Starsky & Hutch Torino, but with a different paint job. I'd take the Joyride Newport and the Fury from Thunderbolt & Lightfoot, but make it look respectable instead of a joke. Most of the cars in American Graffiti and Hollywood Knights and the Power Wagon from Simon & Simon would also be on my list. :)

I know I'm forgetting a few, but if I think of them...

I started brainstorming Mopar movie cars and relized there are a ton of chargers in the movies. Is it silly to prefer one of roscoe's cruisers over the General? And can antone tell me what detective show starred the yellow Cuda vert? I can't figure it out...

^^^Nash Bridges was the detective show with the school-bus-yellow Hemicuda ragtop.

I like the black 'Cuda from Phantasm; any of the Mopars from Beverly Hillbillies or Brady Bunch, the Vanishing Point Challenger, the black '68 Mercury Montclair cop car from the old TV series Hawai'i Five-O, the Mopar cop cars in Adam-12, the Dodge rescue truck in Emergency!, the '66 Dodge D100 in the movie Bottle Shock...

And of course MY '66 Coronet 500 and my wife's '78 New Yorker Brougham Salon in the 2010 film Heaven's Rain!!!

WHOA! I saw that on the sci-fi channel years ago (early 90's?) and then it went off the air. The machinery in the show was super cool. I like that submarine with the airplane that launches from underwater to chase those UFO things that make it into earths atmosphere. Damn that show was cool.

This thread got me wondering about the Cheech and Chong vehicles. I did some googling and I was shocked to see they are still touring! I must see them again. I want to drag Gary with me to show him that Columbus didn't discover the new World in 1970.
