But where's the fun in that? Michel is the master at reviving old threads!
Then he needs to get out more! There's a lot of that going on in the web since Covid.

PartedBumped into this while looking for something else at lunch time. What's the story of that GB7 (?) 1971 Polara hardtop?
Any fender tag to share for posterity?Parted
First time I rented one, I "hauled" a Dart. Now any car I want to tow is allowed. I thought it odd.Too all, it seems now U haul will allow our cars, mine anyway on their trailers. Not sure what changed.
Probably saw evidence on the web that it actually works.Too all, it seems now U haul will allow our cars, mine anyway on their trailers. Not sure what changed.
HEY, that looks familiar

Maybe U-Haul needs or wants the revenue?
Not over lawsuits.
Of course it does. The trailers like the rest of their fleet have been updated and greatly improved. It used to be in many areas U haul wouldn't allow you to put certain vehicles on their trailers, our C bodies for example. Other areas would allow it. The reason for not allowing it was the car was too big or too heavy. If you overload their trailer and they allowed you to, its on them. If you did it on your own, it's on you.I don't know about any law suits! And if they're that bad to get sued, then why are they still renting them at all??? Seems oxymoronic to me!
Ive had that same issue several times. Frustrating and scary, when you stop and think about it.All the trailers I've rented have been in good condition with new looking tires. The straps at the front have been kind of sketchy a time or two. I've had two times where I had to check the straps and tighten, or actually put them back over the tire.
The trip back from Washington was wild in retrospect.Ive had that same issue several times. Frustrating and scary, when you stop and think about it.
