needed to take a step back from the online insanity for a little while, spending too much time staring into my laptop.
I was at Corvettes at Carlisle in 2007 and left just a couple hours before the place was devastated when a freak storm came through. Some cars still on the field were destroyed as were a lot of the vendor tents and there was a number of injuries.
The Corvette show is quite a bit bigger and their "fun field" (which is actually just inside parking for Corvettes) is up where the camp ground is so there is no camping for that show.... Probably a real good thing there wasn't any people up there in tents.

No freak storm, it happens there often. There was a write up in a magazine about rain and how cars were sliding down the hill, there were photos. GMail or generic show I don't recall

Doing the final packing today..... It looks like we will have a dry window to leave in the morning. Should be on the Blue Ridge parkway by noon.
I stopped at a favorite junk store yesterday and picked up several NJ license plates from the 1940's, several singles, Two matched pairs plus one matched 1948 pair of NY tags. I'll bring them along.
