Wed evening.....Ellie, jazabelle and I are resting in a motel in Buena Vista Va., just off the blue Ridge parkway.
We left yesterday morning and got on the Parkway by noon. A nice ride so far but lots of rain.
The first thing I did Tues morning was to drop the top....... Guess what...... I had some stuff to far into the well boot and popped the back glass into a gazillion pieces.... Then stopped for gas and the nozzle slipped out and squirted gas all over my leg and shoes...... Made it most of the day well onto the parkway with the top down... and drove slap into a thunder storm from hell. By the time I got the top up we...... and everything in the car was soaked.
Aside from that...... All's been smooth
Should be at Carlisle by early afternoon tomorrow........

my sympathies Will........I blew he orig back window out on my 69 300 when i went to put it down and it buckled a bit (wasn't retracting symmetrically). all we heard was a 'pop', my wife asked, what was that? My response through gritted teeth: "It was the f---ing back window." Only time i ever dropped an F bomb in front of her in the 12 yrs we've known each other.
Spotted a bronze 73 Chrysler with a white top at the exit in Harrisburg.

there are enough guys from this forum coming that someone ought to organize a FCBO reunion. we'll be passing each other walking around.
Side Note: took a loop around, car corral so far is sparse, i only saw 1 c in there.

I was the 2nd car in our row, really nice convertable parked down from me. Glad I left the Credit Card home, saw a sweet set of Indy Heads at their display. Not coming tomorrow but Saturday all day. Ev1 have fun
It's FN raining here in Aberdeen!!! 1-2 inches an hour.... I'm going to wait a little and just hit the road to Carlisle around 8 am.........rain or shine!!!!

Its dry here, I'm right outside Carlisle in Mechanicsburg. Didn't hit any rain last night coming in either, pretty much stayed dry.
Well, that's good news Gary! It's suppose to slow down around 8 am here. I'll be on the road as soon as it does......
I'll have my brown 70 300 vert in the 300 section. If I'm there, stop by!
