User Handles - Who are you and where did your handle come from

The plane above is a TBM-3E Avenger Torpedo Bomber built by Eastern Motors aka a division of General Motors. Previous versions called TBF-1 were built by Grumman famous for all their "cat" fighters. The dash number refers to variants same as the letters used today like F-14A/D models, or F/A-18A/C/D models. So I am a fan of the TBM-3 planes.

That too .....!

I am boring as most people know that fc7 is the colourcode for plumcrazy.
It is my most favorite colour and all my 1970 B-bodies do have it.

Well, :laughing4: I was born in August and I vaguely remember being told that August was a particularly hot month that year.

The first time that I saw my Newport was in August of the year that I finished school, needless to say that was a pretty wild month too, what with partying, ect. I didn't get my Newport then though. It belonged to a buddy at that time and he wanted to sell it so that he could buy a '67 Monaco 500 2-door 383/4-speed car. The Monaco needed a lot more work than the Newport. Anyway, a family member bought the Newport from him and he bought the Monaco.

The summer that I moved out here, August was a wild month. I remember that just after my birthday, the temperature went up to 102 degrees F for three days in a row. Of course, that was followed immediately by a thunderstorm which included hail and very high winds. I was sitting in my car, a '63 Chevy, when I saw a dumpster literally get blown across a parking lot. On my way home there were trees down everywhere and large amounts of roofing shingles on the streets in many areas. So, I guess that you could say that was a wild August as well.

I chose Wildaugust, instead of Wild August, because there's a band called Wild August. :)

My first vehicle was a 1968 dodge d100 which i still own...work in progress. Had a person comment that driving a truck like that down the road would be about as aerodynamic as a brick flying through the air. thats where it came from.

Many years ago when I was a member of Mass Mopars I went by the name of 69-SFC ( 69-Sport Fury Convertible ) I always was going to change it but never did. Well joining this site I decided to finally change it. "Iron Wolf" is derived from "Geležinis Vilkas" and has a very personal significance in my life that I hold dear to my heart. :pumping heart:

Made up user handle for eBay waaaay back when from my 70 Challenger which has a bb.

Here I thought it was because you didn't wear under ware Stan.

My handle is a mash up from Locutus, captain Picard when he was assimilated by the Borg on Star Trek the next generation, and the Mob cones from my video game days when my friends and I had the Mob clan. Kinda dumb, but unique.

My nick name is "Rip." While riding with my biker buddies years ago over the pass on the Going to the Sun Road in Montana , one of them said: "It was raining so hard, I couldn't see a thing in front of me except the Ripinator's tail light." The name stuck. . .

Hold it close. My grandparents were from Vilnius.

Ok, so here is my story about how I got my "handle". Upon the arrival from my internal happy place, I caused my mother to have some shall we say problems. She was out for more than 3 days and my father couldn't remember how to spell my name. His mother was "Marion" but he knew it had an "a" somewhere in there. Hence, Marian instead of Marianne (the a's should be pronounced as "ah) Magdalena "surname". Oh, well...until the day he died he sometimes spelled my name Marion. It's all good.
