WANTED: pics of 69 chrylser 300 convertibles. Dead or Alive!

Beautiful!!!!!!!!

WOW...! I just looked at these pictures and now i'm all excited again. It looks almost identical to the one i'm doing right now. Still in the metal shop and then a coupleweeks at the paint shop and i'll start reassembling. Interior is ready to go back in...all trim is polished.... bumper and some trim rechromed.... Lots of NOS stuff.

Seeing this car has really motivated me..... can't wait to get Jazabelle back now.

69 300 vert pic

OH, in the interest of the original request..... Here is a pic of a 69 300 convertible that appeared about 20 miles from me. It suffered a under hood and dash fire. I was negotiating to buy it when it was sold out from under me. It was sold without the HP 440 and trans which I was able to get.
I apoligize for the poor quality photos.

Thanks for the pictures! These are new for me!

Looks good, but could you send the photo's to my personal email address?

Did you buy the motor and trans for your chrysler 300?

Thanks!

When I was in my teens and twenties, a B-Body was the car and Chrysler's were an old man's car in my eyes. Now I'm 57 and those Chrysler's look damn good!!!

I was always into big cars and even though I love them all I always liked C's best.

Believe me, I saw the light of the beauty of the Big C's in last few years. The styling and luxury of Chrysler and Imperial are unmatched by anybody else.

Well, I'll chime in here. I've always loved the fuselage "C" cars, even as far back as primary school. They are large and fleet footed. When you ride in one the outside world is cast away while you cruise along in style and comfort. They make you feel safe.........and Powerful.

Those photos remind me of a local car that was parked along side of a mecahnics garage on the Black Horse Pike in Blackwood NJ. That poor convertible sat there must have been 15 years on four flat tires and toasted by the sun. It was turquois with a white interior(bucket seats no console, full wheel covers) I dont know if it was a 69 or a 70 and 10 years ago I never thought of taking photos of a car that was dead.
Now adays I'd be taking photos with tag information. Damn shame what is left to die that others have such a passion for.

You got a point here. Only old guys that feel old like chrysler:D. Old guys that feel young like the small mopar 'power' cars in kiddy (!) colors. That makes them look young to younger girls (women).

Even the Carlisle Chrysler Nationals don't give a damn for a C-body. Go to the homepage of the Chrysler event where you can read the following:

"Welcome to a true Mopar-lover’s paradise. There’s nothing quite like it anywhere in the world with over 2,100 vehicles from all eras of the Chrysler brand: classics, muscle cars, high-performance new models and more. You need to be here for: the enormous showfield - organized by year, make and model; indoor displays; kids’ activities; industry guests; car and engine giveaways; and NHRA drag racing. Interested in parts buying? Look no further! You’ll be amazed at the size of the swap meet, the variety of vendors, the car corral, and the Manufacturers Midway. Whether you prefer the A, B or E body style – this show has it all!"

I would be embarrassed to go there with my C-body style (or F-body style?) :help:. We are not part of the "all!"?
I think they only want us there for filling up their budget!
Carlisle you are:banned 2:

69 440 hp

Did you buy the motor and trans for your chrysler 300?

My 300 has a great running 350 horse motor that has plenty of power. I figured I may transplant the HP 440 into my 64 crewcab sometime in the future. It never hurts to have a spare 69 440 HP enging and trans laying around, their getting tough to locate these days. Perhaps make a deal for someone restoring a 69 GTX or R/T.

You got a point.

I don't go to Carlisle every year to help their budget. I don't believe that anybody else parked on the C-Body line does either. I am not in the least bit embarrassed to show up at Carlisle with my NY'er. I don't think the thousands of people that walk up and down the C-Body line and take pictures of our C-Bodies and engage us in conversation are embarrassed that we are taking up space at Carlisle. I go to carlisle to see the other C's and Imperials and to engage in conversation with everybody and to find the occasional C-body part for sale, barter or trade. I also go to Carlisle to see the many vendors in person and engage in serious conversation about issues important to me and other C-body people. It's far more satisfying than talking to someone on the phone or looking at a website. Bottom line...no embarrassment here showing up at Carlisle with a C-Body.

Carlisle......

It sounds like you've never been to the Chrysler show at Carlisle. The "C" bodys have a prominant place there and are always just as welcome as the other series of Mopars.... including trucks.
Don't judge the event based on a marketing release that was created by a person who also creates release statements for the additional 11 events held at Carlisle. Just a simple oversite by someone in the marketing department.

Don't get me wrong. I hope you see the humor in my post. It was just a cynical way to show that C-body lovers are by far in the minority in comparison with the mopar power lovers (road runner lovers included) and that even Carlisle especially does not mention the 'C-body style' in their homepage to make clear that every 'mopar' is welcome.

Of course I don't judge the event itself or the people who come there every year. I just judge the statement on their homepage. I still think it's curious. It looked like Carlisle has more eye for the Power side of Chrysler than the full size (cruise) part of Chrysler.

And unfortunately I have never been to Carlisle to see all the beautiful C-body styles....

Of course every C-body lover should go to Carlisle. At least to demonstrate against the oversight by the marketing department and to claim a rectification :mob:

I will check their homepage after Carlisle 2012 to see if you C-body lovers succeeded.

Carlisle productions is not in it for the Chrysler show, they are in it for the Money and the cars. Most there do not know about cars but are there for a job. A few there do know Mopars like the event organizer ( different employees organize different events) . Ed knows Mopars but he certainly cant oversee every aspect all aspects of the event .

I will always have a spot spot for Carlisle....................

I think you need to check the Carlisle event in person. Seeing 82 acres of nothing but Mopars of every model, year, and color will change your whole outlook!

I agree. I'd bet there were 200 "full size" Mopars there last year. Aside from the later model classes I would bet the full size classes have grown the most in recent years.

It was a nice award, BUT the best part of last years show to me was my C body being part of the T shirt art work. . . . . . . . . . Carlisle rules!

Help me with pics of 69 Chrysler 300 Convertibles. Thanks!

I think you still do not understand my point. Let's say it's due to my bad english. Let's stop this discussion here.:stop: Let's go on with our lives before a cynical joke becomes a :soapbox:

It's also off topic. I want pictures of 1969 Chrylser 300 convertible's!! I am still fishing but do not catch mutch... :fishin:
