What did you do to your C-body today....

yeah, MIA but not forgotten :)

wasnt done "today" .. but it did go back in today to get some finishing work - from the lost year of 2021.

Trying to "unveil" on Labor Day 2022, but surely by end of this year.

my 1972 newport did not want to start monday she would do this every once in awhile . just one of those silly things that mopars like to do . well it finally broke down as i was trying to work thru the problem what we found was the wire from the brain was a little tarnished . how we found it was as we used a test light to see what had power we touched to power wire on the coil and it sparked and tried to start . so took it apart and cleaned all the connections seems to have worked keeping fingers crossed

Out with the old and in with the new. Thanks to all the wisdom posted on this site, even a low-experience amateur like me (or noob as my kids would say) can figure out how to fumble his way through a fuel pump replacement.

Today my McGoldy is waiting patiently for her new core radiator coming back early next week. I'm cleaning everything I can around her cavity before I put her back together soon. Recent new member to the group Chester got some stock wheel covers from the stash and I have fender skirts to massage a bit to get them back on. Just some holes to drill that were filled in before the nice paint job. I'll have to eventually spray the skirts the correct Chestnut poly stock color HT8. I drew in the photo mockup skirts as I am not a big fan of Imperials without their fender skirts. I will probably go with the mismatch color skirts just to have them on at first. Using McGoldy wheel well as template. Fender skirt chrome molding coming soon as well. Thanks to Ebay.

I slept all day Sunday. I got up to work on my Ram (bad wheel bearings RF) at around 7am, and just felt like warmed-over dogshit. Went in to take a nap. That lasted twelve hours! It was still 96 degrees at 8pm, so I watched a little YT and rolled back into bed. Slept wonderfully for another eight hours.

Today after work, plans are to reattack the Ram and set the timing on the Imperial. It's off just a wee-scosch, enough to get a little pinging under load.!

I like your "Chrysler Road Runner" build. I know you're not calling it that, but a Newport Custom stripper coupe lends itself well to such a build...minus the decals and such. What a Q-ship!

Are your wheels 15x8?

Picked up the re-cored radiator from the shop for McGoldy and made the official purchase of Chester today. Previous owner Steve was great in delivering the coupe to Shawshank last week.

Now that Carlisle is over, time to dip into the winter projects. Before Carlisle I wanted to pull the intake and get it powder coated to really spiffy up the top end of the motor, but didn’t get a chance. So away we go. Was happy with the way things came apart and is clean as everything was considering its age. The valley pan was in good shape, can’t say as much for the insulation pad that was between the valley pan in the intake, bits and pieces left of it. Even the lifters and push rod Galley were clean or as expected. Hopefully have a back together by the Weeknd, stay tuned..

Biggest part of that job is getting the a/c compressor off!

Not sure if there is a thread like this anywhere on the board....I tried searching but only came up with a couple hits and nothing specific like this.

I am on a few Dodge 1st Gen cummins forums and this is a very popular thread on most because you can just post up the little, or big things you have done. Because many members don't have a specific build thread on their vehicle, and sometimes you don't want to start a whole new thread about just giving your vehicle a bath or changing the oil etc.....but you can toss up a note in the thread.

So maybe we can give it a try?
Tightened the clamp in the lower rad hose and cleaned the bugs off the windshield just before it started raining then took her around the block and back into the garage.

Installed a convex mirror so i dont tap the righr rear quarter. Digging out the inner wheel wells and bumper brackets to drop at the powder coaters this Friday.
