Went to physio today for my elbow and this was parked in the lot.....68 Newport Vert....383 car I believe, with power disc brakes and power windows, black bucket with buddy seat interior. Nice clean cruiser!
Pretending I was at Mopars in the Park.

I started doing this many years ago as well....amazing I have not had a fuel pump failure since. Also flushing your brake fluid every year or two will save you having to replace components as well.

I spent the late afternoon sanding and polishing an aluminum slot which should go on the Polara someday.
The pair were real shabby when I got them and there are some pits I won't be able to remove. That's ok, they are 14's and I'll replace them when I go to front discs.

had to go fuel the '65 this evening. fuel gauge is below the first line. not good. putting it in neutral, coasting down hills. hitting all the lights green. one more hill. no problem. what a great car. fuel it. hit the key: click! open the hood, jump the starter relay: click!! you son of a *****! oh yeah, repair terminals on the battery cables. move the high tension line to the starter: vroom! what a great car! did we ever fly home!!

Well not today but Friday. Had annual state inspection done
car needed nothing for inspection(only 135 miles put on car since last year). have been having a running hot issue when on highway replaced fan clutch took care of that. been to 3 car cruises in 4 days car running cooler now. Car will be driven a lot this summer.
I was released by doctor today to return to work on Monday 6/10/19 had my knee replaced 10 weeks ago I am able to get around a lot easier now. I went to Dunkirk, NY swap-meet on May 18th and walked the whole field with no problems. looking forward to driving car .

I went and saw the Polara tonight. Loaded up the trunk with parts to be installed next week.
Brought home the rear drums to clean and paint.
Couldn't find the positive battery cable. It was on the work bench at home. Needs to go with the car next week.
Cleaned up the threads on the strut arm I got from Murray.

Got some fuel system pieces off one of my parts cars, still yielding treasure! It will help two cars become better.

When I restored a 68 Coronet 500 vert I picked up a complete 68 Coronet 440 4dr sedan as a parts car.....that car alone saved me 1000's of dollars in small little odds and ends, not to mention all the mint sheet metal that was used to bring back the vert's rusty body.
