Washed and clay barred the 300 today. While I liked the Beadmaker finish I put on the car a couple weeks ago, I discovered that I had streaked it in the center of the deck lid. I couldn't seem to get it right, so I decided it was time to clean it all up anyway.
The plan was to wash, clay bar and wax... That was the plan anyway... Got the first two done and decided that I wasn't going to have time to wax it too, so it went into the garage... And I hate to say what happened next....
I drove in against the wheel chock I have set up and apparently the car rolled back about 6". I had some other stuff on my mind and just didn't notice. I brought the garage door down and... Crap.... The handle scraped the deck lid by the lock. After turning the air blue, I got a better look at it and at least it didn't go through the brown. The damage was only to the clear coat.
I was too annoyed with myself to take a picture of the damage... After I took a deep breath, I started fixing the clear coat. I think it will come out OK. Wet sand and buff tomorrow and we'll see.
