What did you do to your C-body today....

Too many to list, but here goes. R & R heater box today. The old had dried seals and leaked water bad plus one big crack and many small ones. Used a DMT technologies foam seal kit. This evening I decided to freshen up the face of my AM / FM 8 track radio. Painted the lettering in white and recover the silver in foil. Time for bed. 2 weeks till Volo

Replaced brake hoses. Hard pull to the right if I had to get on the brakes hard. Left was the problem but I replaced both sides. Stops straight now.

Edit-drum was hot as hell from a 4 mile trip. I thought collapsing hose. But, there was no fluid in the old hose.

Found out my used lock ring seals just fine looking like it might pop out. I'll correct it later, I still need to adjust the float level.

Stripping and clean up of all the brakes off the 67 Polara convertible today. Wheel cylinders and hoses to be replaced, master cylinder disassembled and cleaned, steel lines clean and blown out. Probable a couple days work to get everything back together.
I'd love to locate a left front hub & drum, (10 X 2 3/4), with good left thread studs. Looks like the one I have surcumbed to the "tire store impact Rambo" who never heard about left hand lugs. All new right hand threads now.

Went to the upholster shop today to check on the seats for my 77 NYB, although the pictures are the best, I’m sure you’ll get the idea. (They aren’t finished yet) The only thing I’m waiting on are the buttons for pillow top part of the seats.. if all goes well I should have the seats by the end of next week. The sitting surfaces of the seats and the armrests are actual leather, (they smell really good) lol. the sides and the back are vinyl. The semi completed seat pictured is the bottom of the backseat, the other picture is the top portion of the backseat not yet fitted to the frame and foam.

Dang! I'm looking forward to see the finished product.

Those seats are looking great!!!

Good guy shout out to Xenon. He came over the other day and rebuilt the Carter AVS on the NYer.
After I hooked up two strap clamps on the new TTI exhaust, we took it out for a spin. Being dormant for 25 years, that NYer perked right up.
There's still a few things to do on this car before Volo, but it'll be there.

Cleaned up a console I got from a parts car. Still needs to be washed with soap, it was nasty after almost 30 years of sitting.

Also put a new front plate on the '68 Monaco 500.

Thanks Bob, if everything goes as planned I’ll have “Ginger” at Carlisle. When she arrived back in February I didn’t anticipate some of the challenges I’m having with her. But I’m chipping away at them. Fingers crossed....

Great!

I'm looking forward to seeing you and your car!

I'm sitting in my car while on break, listening to my clock, working! Just started to work after I figured out the knob on the bottom of my dash is for the clock.
